Who am I:

My name is Zach. Iโ€™m a Resident Physician in Boston. I make videos about medical school, studying, and growth. I love trying new things and often mess up. However, every time I screw up, I usually learn something. Whatever I learn, I post it either on YouTube or on my website ๐ŸŒ (https://zhighley.com/โ€‹โ€‹).

I write a weekly newsletter ๐Ÿ’Œ (https://zhighley.com/newsletter/โ€‹โ€‹) linking the best things I read, watched, and listened to that week. Join the 4,000+ that read it every other Sunday morning.

  7. Zach, I tell you what… your biggest hurdle to learning Italian will not be Italian itsself…
It's your nasal voice. Italians very rarely have a nasal voice… and it's considered very odd and cringey.

  15. Bravissimo Zaccaria! You even learned Italian gestures ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฉ Donโ€™t worry about Condizionale and Congiuntivo; thatโ€™s advanced level that you can only learn here. Many Italians donโ€™t get it right.

  17. English language literally came from to the Italian language, like the Spanish one, in fact for an Anglo is easier to learn Italian respect from a German or a French fe, cause you will only have to add something to your already existing language, unlike the French and Germans as a said that literally have to start from zero… you maybe wonder why? cause you, aswell as Ireland of course, were lucky to be an Island during the Barbaric invasions, in fact French and Germany were basically the only areas victim of those invasions, they never settled in Italy (also for the Vatican State) or Spain (were Arabs were defeated, also thanks to a lot of Romans who after the Military services, went retired in those zones, like also East Europe, in fact thats why you have Romania, that literally came from Roma ) and in England / Ireland (an island is more difficult to conquer and that also helped to maintain traditions back from where you were.a Roman province), thats why Germanic and French are so much different from us, cause they were invaded in fact the original French and German languag spoken during the Romans was more similar to the italian one, although they are closer to us than England, you will find some many similar words with the Italian language aswell as a lot of expression (like see? that comes from the italian vedi? or stay scherzando? = are you joking?, capisci cosa intendo? = you know what I mean?) that noone else in the word in fact use besides us (English, Italy, Spain) because as I already said English Language came from the Italian language (its like a broken Italian).

  18. Iโ€™m italian ๐Ÿ˜Š, Zach you seem a different person when you talk in italian ahaha idk you sound more chill and sweet. Good job, youโ€™re doing great ๐Ÿ™‚

  19. Zach, I'm Italian and trust me when I say that the way you sound is incredibly cute. It's good that you had to leave, we would all have been out business with girls over here if you didn't.
