    I absolutely love how diversity is represented in this show without making it into some personality trait. Modern Family highlights struggles that different people have without making it weird or political. I hope we have another show like this.

    I think this also shows that just bc she was born in Vietnam does not mean that's her culture. She was born there but was raised by white parents in America lol You can't force a culture on her just bc she was born in a x place lol. It would be different if one of the parent was vietnamese and Lily actually grew up with some of their culture.
