The disloyal part would be if John Heald took ANOTHER cruiseline for vacay. Seriously tho, IF John Heald went on vacay/holiday on a Carnival cruise he would be bamboozeled w/ people who know him and want to complain, get pics and pester him to the point he would not want to go out of his cabin. Smart he did not go on a cruise!
Carnival has always charged a corkage fee since we began cruising 25 years ago! If you didn't buy it from Carnival, why should they open a bottle they didn't sell. If you want go drink your wine, open your own bottle!! John deserves to get away from cruising for vacations! Love your show Tony!! Hey BTW, there is a Fazoli's across from Busch Gardens in Tampa! Sounds like a quick road trip is in your future!!

100% my thought about John Heald too Tony! Plus, seeing how he wasn't given really any time off when his Mom passed right before Venezia had her Inaugural sailing from Barcelona. I was 💔 for him. He was really struggling, and people were texting the most hurtful and hateful thing! I could not believe another human could be vile! Someone said something along the lines as, "People don't care to hear about his Mom so get over it because you have a job to do! (Keep in mind they wanted information!) I probably still said it nicer then he actually did.
P.S. – Love the jazz hands! I have been doing that for probably 20 years for my grand finales for everything! 🤣🤣🤣
My son took bartendering school. I took a bottle of wine to dinner in the MDR that had a screw top. I thought we would get away with just opening ourselves, but the matre d' showed up…. insisted on opening the bottle! We could hardly contain ourselves. My son was about to explode with laughter! It was embarrassing but so funny, and my son kept "reenacting" the opening of the bottle.

Tony, I agree with you about it would've been like work for John Heald. Which would've taken time away from his family and vice versa. Finally as much as I like cruising, every once in a while I like doing something different. Staying at an all inclusive resort. Going to beach somewhere.

A Carnival bar server told me that if you add additional tip to your sail&sign, it is added to the entire crew gratuity "pot". So now we bring $1s and $5s to give to great servers around the ship.

This was his time to grieve and recover from the passing of his mother and spend time with his family not a working vacation where idiots like those who are bashing him would have made his FAMILY VACATION HORRIBLE.
