No joke, I would pay for that Bourdain tour you were joking about doing. I loved his taste in food of course, but I also just admired the man so much just as a human being that it would be an absolute honor just to be able to walk in his footsteps for a few moments and experience some of the places he cherished. You wouldn't even have to act as a tour guide. It'd just be great to have that experience with fellow admirers of Uncle Tony.
what about the place he worked? he did a great show where eric r ran the grill -probably closed
isn’t Katz’s better than pastrami queen? i think second ave is better
Legend has it that his last meal was hanger steak.
I notice there was one spot that's not on this list and I'll put you and others on. I went to Burger Joint in Thompson Hotel that's close to Central Park. Anthony considers it one of the best places to grab a burger and he is right it still is one of the most delicious burgers I've ever had and I traveled 4 hours for one.
0:32 "Anthony Bourdian" and just like that Anthony became armenian 😀
The way Anthony would tell his stories made you feel like you were there with him experiencing all of the culture and food in one place. He made me want to try the different foods we weren't accustomed to. This quote from one of his shows has stuck with me since:
"Travel isn't always pretty. It isn't always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that's okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind." – Anthony Bourdain
He was murdered
He knew something
He quit smoking so he'd live longer for his children
Why kill yourself when you make this sacrifice. He loved smoking.
RIP Tony
Considering I never net him, I was strangely sad, when he died. I just couldn`t understand why…….and I still don`t. R.I.P………you were….AWESOME MATE….
24.50 Dollars…….that amounts to 180 Danish Crowns………..for a pastrami sandwich !!!!!!! No Dane……….would EVER pay that amount…..for a measly sandwich !!!!!!!
ya think he is real no he is not he not nice when meeting with fans i seen him meet with fans trying too get autograph he was a nasty person too people
“Halal” isn’t a cuisine sir.
Great homage to a great man. I've always wanted to try Hop Kee, but the allure of Wo Hop has always been too strong to allow it, now I MUST! Papaya King…ah, the haunts of my youth. I can't pass it without going in. Preferable late at night when you never know what denizen of the night will join you for a crunchy dog. I just had my first Pastrami Queen experience recently when I happened upon the Upper West Side location. Terrific, though I'm not sure it's better than Katz's..
Do we know where bourdain’s favorite mapo tofu place is?
This is hands-down your best video.
Pastrami queen has really reduced the amount they put in the sandwiches.
Superb presentation and production. Next week Papaya King will be moving across the street to 1535 Third Avenue, between East 86th and 87th streets. No need to go there…their hot dogs are a shell of their former self. Sad to say, they're awful. Way to salty, tough, and annoyingly chewy. The snap is gone. They changed mustard suppliers and it's just run of the mill junk. This is not the Papaya King of Anthony Bourdain.
Way overpriced at $4.00 a dog. Gray's Papaya on 72nd and Broadway is ten levels above.
your blood sugar went up……..?????
😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
take less baby sips😆😆😆😆😆😆
RIP Anthony Bourdain
My kind of places too. Videos like this really make me miss NYC even more. Anthony Bourdain, forever in our hearts and thoghts.
That is not how you spell dying.
I smashed the "Like" button here, too !! OH MY, a video with Ben in it !!! I love these videos. How is Ben doing these days? This is a classic one of your videos, not only because of Bourdain and you, but with Ben in it, too !!
My spirit and heart are so sad…We lost Anthony way to soon..his honesty and smile were awesome😘
Walked by this place a thousand times and never ventured in once – always a line a mile long and endless waiting. Used to go to a chinese restaurant supply place across the street and down a few doors. We always went to a noodle shop around the corner or a Buddhist Temple joint that served only temple style vegetarian food – a very cool place but it doesn't look like a restaurant from the outside – you have to know it to walk in and order, a tiny place with incredible food. Love your channel!
I miss him. I wish he was still here.
