years of arabs doesnt make sicily arab. The greeks were in sicily and south italy from antiquity till 1400 ad aka the middle ages. They are propably greeks not arabs. South italians cluster with greeks in dna tests not with arabs.
21:45 you said carthage was a greek city state please next time do your research and don't ignore the fact that carthage itself was an independent and the first republic in the mediterranen way before greece that kicked the greeks out of a sicily and cornered them in syracuse.

Sicily is a unique and wonderful region, just like all the others, but despite everything, all of them are Italy. Even if each region has its own characteristics and traditions, there is a very strong base and cultural/identity bond common to all of Italy that holds the regions all together. Please learn some history, Carthage was an empire that dominated the Mediterranean Sea, and was a rival to the Roman and Greek empires. In the past, Sicily was part of Carthage empire. Also, Sicily has been also influenced by Arab culture in different ways. ❤

Great video but it is very ignorant to say "Sicily is not Italy". Genetically, maybe. There is a lot more North African and Arab admixture in Southern Italy, but still Etruscans form the modern base of almost every Italian.
