  1. These guys were the ones our parents talked about when they said "choose your friends wisely"

  2. Nice show. Nice to see that they're all human. Sacks is fat, Jason is chubby, Friedburg is lovely and Chamath doesn't have a crotch. Someone needs to edit this to like 30 mins to remove all the caviar cope. The number of beeps on the show is getting ridiculous. Do they wanna show that they have friends? Unfortunately, not many other replacements.

  3. I would only take advice from people connected with nature, i.e. our very own future. This working 80 hours kills everything.

  4. Maybe we ought to give the science corner a more deserved attention! Thanks Friedberg for your efforts.

  5. Can someone smarter than me further explain what Friedberg was saying when he described a superconductive battery having infinite energy storage?

Like it won't degrade over time and can be recharged an infinite amount of times? Or it's literally infinite energy ..?

  6. Such a fun show from your vacation/wedding. Really love that you all provide the world an excellent example of how to be friends who can disagree on a variety of topics in a very respectful manner. We need more of this online.

  7. you cant leverage AI in basketball and so have to put in the time to learn the craft. But in these jobs such as VC's the future involves leveraging AI in research and decision making therefore increasing productivity and reducing number of hours from 70 hrs a week to maybe spending 45 hrs a week

  8. How do I get shortlisted for the Metreon Oppenheimer showing? I’ve put this show in the hands of several Silicon Valley business leaders who are now loyal followers. 😊❤

  9. She’s already devaluing him. I hope his prenup is water tight as she’s eyeing those billions after kids and time. Life alimony guaranteed

  10. Thanks for another episode. Love the podcast. I have a liberal arts education, just resigned from teaching elementary special ed at a public, low-income school. Loved working with kids, hated the bureaucracy, lack of incentive and energy for innovation and excellence.
I’m teaching myself to code and transitioning to tech. During this career transition I’m also trying to learn more about business, psychology etc. I’m sad that education field felt so bad that I had to leave. I’m trying to stay positive, learn from the negatives and be a force for improving my career and hopefully education in the long run.
I would love for you all to do a deep dive into education. You all are so articulate and have a wide range of knowledge. And I think several of you have small children. Working in a school system for 2 years as a male, with a liberal arts education from an elite school felt like being in a weird dream. I can’t fully articulate it. Sometimes things were amazing and magical and other times you feel this incredible tension and waste. I can’t fully articulate it so maybe you can help find the sources of those energies and feelings.
For example, your conversation in this episode about creatives getting equity in agreements and advice for unions to find the true equity in the business. That is such a cool idea.
But what would be the equivalent for education where things are not always quantifiable? And I know you’ve brought up just bringing competition into the school system. Can you go into more detail? What would this look like for teachers, families, districts?
Sure we have career and college readiness metrics in education but isn’t a child’s development maybe less easy to quantify?
Maybe I’m over complicating it and we just need to start with some simple structural reforms instead of trying to make the whole thing pristine.
Anyway, enjoy the rest of your summer! Best, Matt

  11. It was absolutely retarded how they were joking about around superconductor! Bro!! Wtf!!!??

  12. Chamath fly me out so I can do “A Day in The Life Of The Spac King!” full 360 of your life. Cmonnnn great promo big broooooooo more Engagement reach the children!

  13. So big tech is software. Like thats like the first problem??

I really dont know tech. But what is american tech. What is chinese tech. Like ask who is conglomerating manufacturing and like how are we going to get americans to remanufacture in the next tech manufacturing. Like this was like a weird open secret and why didnt any you guys break it down. Like marketing of musk is the second problem. Like how much market share does those companies have and like how many americans are you guys investing in tech manufacturing of smart city.

Like where is this american tech manufacturing infrastructure. All this and is it really just sochi 2024. Underdeveloped arenas and nobody calling out weirdos asians.

  14. Bruh every single time fried berg talks about serious stuff and gets in depth the rest of the losers try to act funny and like clowns

  15. its a cozy podcast. anyone else get that feel? on top of the info, it feels comfortable

  16. Chamath, congrats and thank you for calling fat what it is instead of using euphemisms like “big people”, etc….
