I lived in Roma for 4 months and wanted to stay. So bad, I came home, took a year of Italian and promised to come back one day and live. I want to live in Umbria, have bed and breakfast, teach art classes, raise olives, tomatoes and have my own wine vineyard. 😅I have only wished this for the last 23 years. Ya'll are lucky to be able to go live there and here. But if I were you , I would live in Italy in a snap of a finger.

My daughter (Kelsi) just found out the town where my Great Grandparents came from in Calabria. It is the town of Cleto.
My Great Grandfather Frank Ferraro came to the USA in 1907… my Great Grandmother Caroline Vena came over in 1915 with their two sons Giovanni (my Uncle John) and Giuseppe (my Uncle Joe). They had 3 more children in the USA including my Grandmother Lucy Ferraro.
If you ever get to visit Cleto ask around if there are any Ferraro’s or Vena’s still living there.
