Have you gone to Florence if you haven’t been to any of these wine windows?!

Also known as, Buchette del vino, these tiny windows were created during the Renaissance as a way of selling wines with only a minimal contact with the customers. These allowed the nobles and wealthy families to sell wine they produced out of their own homes.

Today, there are still about 150 wine windows that remained in the city centre of Florence. However, only a few are still in use as wine windows.

Some of them are:
📍 Babae (this one’s very popular, so expect a line up)
📍 Osteria Belle Donne (where we went)
📍 Il Latini
📍 Osteria Delle Brache

How cool are these?! Tag a wine 🍷 lover!!
