Having seen awards programs from the other side of the table, I would never choose a line based on an award. Also the name dropping at restaurants means nothing. It doesn’t matter what name they have licensed to use, it only matters who the chef is and the quality of the ingredients. I’m sure Emeril and all the others are excellent chefs but my guess is they have no idea how the meals that bear their names are prepared. But I am sure they are sure the check for the licensing rights has cleared.

I recently went on my first Princess cruise on the Emerald Princess, and I definitely will book Princess again. I enjoyed the twice a day service and the 1/2 day of the Sanctuary, delicious lunch, and afternoon tea. I have only been on 2 other lines, but this was the best service.
We DID have that penne pasta on our last cruise! So delicious! They slso offered their fresh lemoncello again.
Entertainment is always a very personal issue. We have seen Rock Opera twice and hated it both times. Seemed to us that the assumption they made was that VOLUME would make it great. In our case that assumption was wrong. We are happy it has been replaced.
Love your Vlogs but they are just too long. I think you lose a lot of viewings because of the length. Just some constructive thoughts
Princess sadly has older ships that voters dont want they want WOW wow doesn’t really affect your cruise experience

I do think you should make excursion videos not with all the footage but with the highlights that people would want to see and things that people want to know. Make them when you can and it would be an extra video to get more views. Enjoy your cruise right now and you are making enough videos while on the cruise. Thank you.
When I was on the island for 30days ( 2 segments) just before your cruise, I thought the nightly entertainment was weaker than better, but that’s just me! ).
As for the Italian night, the pasta in the regular dining room is much better then in Sabatini! I was at Sabatini and this experience on the island Princess was the worst than any other since Alfredo Masi started it in 1987. I was on the Isalnd in October 2022 for the Norther light cruise and had no issues. I had two pasta dishes for the first and the main course, both were mushy. ( let alone the meatball should have been one large for an appetizer, the chef of Sabatini said they changed it to 3 small, I got one small and it slipped to the side of my plate when it was presents to me, no one offered cheese and I did not even finish the pasta as it was so mushy! The main ( from the first course menu, was watery pasta sauce, and again the pasta was over cooked! ). And the head waiter (Helena, very beautiful and charming and smiling )promised a lot and delivered nothing! Be ware unless you can’t tell good Italian food…..lol

I don't know why people are so down on Princess. Sure, they barely picked up any awards in the last Cruise Critic awards and probably rank about number 4 amongst their major competitors, but it is still a quality cruise line.
On the Sapphire, they had 3 old shows: Bravo, do you want to dance, and showtime – all very dated. How can they keep recycling these old shows? On Enchanted we had all 3 new shows. I was very disappointed. And there was no standout talent brought on. They had a guest soprano – good I guess if you appreciate opera. For me, the entertainment is important a close second to the itinerary I’m trying to figure out whether the smaller older ships are all going to be like this or is it the Director of entertainment making these poor choices? I’d like to figure it out in advance. Also, the cruise Director staff makes a huge difference, they can be a lot of fun or boring or downright annoying. I don’t like paying all that money for potluck. Any insight or insider info as to who is being booked would be appreciated.
I was also on that tour last year , it was great! When we stopped at Shetlands jewelry I got a ring, which they had to mail to me! I’m very happy with it ! Can hardly wait to see ur Iceland pictures! Oh the midnight buffets! Oh my !!

We did the immigration verification when Discovery Princess called on San Francisco after visiting Ensenada but before returning to Los Angeles. Ours was a little different though as we had to meet immigration on the dock with our passport and then carry it around all day or wait about an hour, until 10:30, before we could reboard and put away our passports. We carried them all day so we could start our port exploration.
They are talking about canceling school on the day of the eclipse here because it is such a great place to see it. They are expecting thousands and thousands of people coming in to Northern Ohio!
In regards to the midnight buffets in the past, that Gordon said "they were fine"…. WOW, that's an understatement, If I've ever heard one!. They were so splendid that NO WORDS would come close to describing them!
Our TA sent our pre-trip letter and included the advisory to bring your pre-paid excursion list printed out AND watch for the double billing.

On the sapphire in June, they did make that pasta in the main dining room! There was a single station where a server was preparing it. Two of our friends ordered it, and said it was incredible! Wish I would’ve known I could’ve ordered it another time since I felt I missed out.
Saw Bravo last nite on carribbean princess. Excellent..had a guest soprano very good!. Lunch buffet not great..but all else good. Bit understaffed in general.
We are leaving on the Prima next Tuesday, hopefully no issues. Leaving from Iceland.
NCL ised to have amazing production shows, 2 per sailing. I have no idea why they dropped it again, now they only have 1. All cruise lines need to step up shows at night. This is what sets cruise lines apart.
Sailed Sky Princess last year ti Iceland and Norway and really enjoyed it.
