After visiting this part of the city, I have a newfound love for Milan. Prior to this visit, I had always thought Milan was the least attractive destination in Italy, but now I changed my mind.

Can't find "Brera Calais" via web search. There's one Hotel Calais that has dreadful reviews ("sleep in a tent or in the street rather than here"). Can you be more specific about the property name?
