Hungary is also famous for it's connections to russia so I wouldn't say it's a attractive tourist destination. As long as hungarian goverment and it's society supports russia.
The stone dish was incredibly creative and caught me off guard. That is an experience.
So, the name of the restaurant is the meaning of live…fantastic 🙂
Love u channel. Thanks for the aproach to Central AND my Perú. Your Review was excelente AND Made justice to Virgilio sacriface. Soon i m going to visit ir restaurant. God bless you
Proud to be Hungarian
True Giga Chad.
I just saw you in an entirely new light due to your honesty about how your own restaurant can improve!!! Hopefully I’ll get to visit it one day!!! ❤❤❤
Many of the dishes seem really tasty, and I understand especially for a food critic, you want to taste as many variations as possible.
I kind of noped out after “our ninth course”. I’m pretty sure I’m not your target audience/eater for this kind of restaurant, but personally I prefer a 3.5 course meal (the cheese plate is interesting, and I would try it, but I’d prefer a small but solid cheese plate instead). The fruit from the first 2 courses, then the goat with vegetables, followed by cheese, and ending in the desert would be perfect.
Again, I understand I’m not the kind of clientele you’re trying to attract, but if you ever open a restaurant just serving really good food for “normies”, I’d love to try it 😀
A restaurant to my heart. As a Charles Heidsieck lover, I'm immediately seduced! The roots of Hungary with the magnificent Mangalitsa pork, yum yum. I hope to visit your restaurant next time I am in Hungary. Cheers
Hungary EW
I have no idea what wine pairing is i have never eaten at at a high class resturant .. I have begun watching your videos the last few weeks and i can honestly say you truly give all the insight of not only the dishs but the surroundings that have created and inspired these dishs ..
What an amazing episode ! I absolutely love that the 42 reference comes from Douglas Adams, one of my favorite novel of all time. Hungary was not a country I thought I would like to visit, but this video alone makes me want to go in the upcoming years. And I will definitely be going to 42 !
Way too many alcohol beverages.
I love this.
42 – The answer to life, the universe, and everything
Bravo!
Wow beautiful restaurant, food looked stunning, fantastic reviewing too
what if someone accidentally bites into one of the real rocks
id laugh so hard if someone just started chomping on the rocks.
Amazing partner a chef could wish for!
Már mióta nézlek, nem is tudtam hogy magyar vagy😅. Nagyon menő
As a vegetarian, I have always wondered how fine dining menu would be for me in a high end restaurant, hope to have the same vibrant experience one day.
I really liked this review. Enthusiastic and seemed fair. Presentation was really great. Imaginative cooking. I lived in Budapest for about a year at the time Russian withdrawal was happening. The food was memorable then for extremes: peasant food in factories (Tungsram was being privatised with world bank money, followed by some banks) and in hidden restaurants we could get Russian caviar and Tokai very cheaply (compared with London). I've never been back but would love to visit your restaurant.
where is the review?
this is just one long advertisement
I wish I had the taste for this kinda food, but honestly, just get me a ribeye and some fries, thx
if someone chokes on a rock in the rock dish, can the restaurant be fined/sued?? seems dangerous to put rock like food with other rocks
Aren't the edible stones an old dish from Mugaritz? Stealing a dish without paying homage isn't a great look
Come to L'Enclume in the UK! x
the bowl of stones was very clever and funny. Amazing stuff.
Try Bougainville in Amsterdam, I really like it.
Pure class, as always.
Personally wouldn’t want to eat off my hand
iv'e seen two and three michelin star venues with far less diverse selections.
honestly I think Alex needs to make another take on this subject. It will be also more attractive if he actually start to be negative about things he compares to more michelin star restaraunts. then we know he wants to grow. now it seems he doesn't care as he said. so yeah. need to make another take and make a proper critique. otherwise this is just a clickbait for review and advertisement instead of critiquing or looking for down sides.
Don't bite into the rock!
1:43 Is that a stuffed lying deer? LOL
Wauww, that price and those portions are just Perfect and generous.
I want to come to Restaurant 42😍😍
If my waiter suddenly served me the flowers on the table and poured the plant water into my plate, I would flip the table and go straight to McDonalds xD
0:40 Sorry but hungary is not famous for it's famous people…
How does the small town of 28k support a restaurant like this?
I like the games/deception of the river rocks, flower bouquet, etc. – fun surprises.
This looks excellent, especially for people who aren't very experienced with fine dining (like me). I probably wouldn't care much for the cheese and the on-the-skin dishes, they're a bit gimmicky. But I definitely wouldn't leave the restaurant still Hungary ;P.
Kiraly vagy! Nagyon jok a videok, hajra!
each course is like a food sample you get from a grocery store
This is very quickly becoming a fave channel of mine. Initially, I was hesitant, but the quality of the videos are brilliant
Where's the food? Such tiny portions.
If someone broke a tooth on a rock would your restaurant get in trouble?
