Here’s a special video segment from the UISD Kitchen titled “Cooking Healthy.” The video features Aryana Valdez, Operations Manager for the UISD Child Nutrition Department and Michelle Vaughn from Blue Cross Blue Shield for UISD. The video segment features four healthy holiday side dishes that you can modify, so you can still eat a healthy option of the foods you love! The side dishes include: Turkey Sausage Stuffing, Cauliflower Potato Mash, Baked Italian Green Beans, and poached apples (a great alternative to apple pie). The recipes are not only delicious but easy to prepare!
