  1. Riga looks beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Learned a lot and would love to visit.

  2. Very nice video of a city with beautiful architecture. Wish your videos were a little longer, maybe 15 minutes.

  3. I visited Riga some years ago, and i loved it! Greetings from Lisbon, Portugal 🇵🇹👍🏻

  4. You missed the boat excursion on the Daugava River, as that's a great experience to see the city skyline during a golden sunset!
The Powder Tower holds part of the War Museum which has impressive exhibits, and it's free admission. It's connected to a part of the few remaining city walls built during the Medieval period.
Apsara Tea House serves Riga Black Balzam coffee and their honey cake is sublime!

  5. Nice video! Good host and Food looks delicious. I want to try the drink too.

  6. you could say that Rīga is a hidden gem 10 years ago. but big cruise ships dock there regularly since 5 years ago. so,….

  7. Brown bottle balsam is more like medicine or winter drink to warm up, the mainstream one is the purple one, latest recepie

  8. Totally missed the micro brewery and coffee culture scene in Riga. I usually take my guests to either Labietis, Valmiermiuža or others to get a taste of an actual local beer

  9. May Allah SWT bless Latvia and it's beautiful people from Pakistan 🙂. As a Pakistani I fully support love and respect Latvia and it's beautiful people from Pakistan 🙂

  10. Riga is such an elegant, peaceful and charming city. Latvian food is very good, especially the fish is prepared in a million ways. Latvia and the Baltics really have a lot to offer tourists. Worth a visit. I have been and I am delighted. Be sure to see the Baltic Sea because it is amazing from this perspective. Greetings from Poland.

  11. Especially for Germans visiting Riga and other cities and castles in Latvia and Estonia, is just a must. So much German heritage with Baltic (Livonian) flare. Even Riga was founded by Germans (or Low Old Saxons, to be precise) from Bremen in 1201 and was a majority in the cities up to the 19th century. German Baltic population had to be "repatriated" just in December 1939 from Latvia and Estonia. Lots of people now in Germany have Baltic (Livonian) roots

  12. Nowadays, as it is becoming so hot in South Europe, Baltic East coast might be #1 destination for the beaches, too. In the summer. Wide, white sand, with pine trees, some crowded with events, some just for you alone! 😊

  13. You should definetly try Riga blackcurant balsam. Its more tastier then the original black balsam. I think tourists would like it better. ✌️🙂

  14. Riga is beautiful but peoples are so sad and depressed, also there’s a lot of scammers around there

  15. You shoul really try kefir, instead of balzam. More healthy. I always order kefir on the night out.

  16. You forgot that it is illegal to drink in public 😂
And you should have tried the cold beetroot soup with kefir.
Very refreshing on a hot day!
We eat lots of different soups, one warmer favorite is sorrel soup.
And of course bread, our sourdough bread is very aromatic and even has an aftertaste.
In the evening you should have some local beer with rye bread fried in garlic butter.
Also, I would recommend to see the wooden architecture, especially across the river (the restored Āgenskalns market is also very nice and cozy).
Bars, restaurants and cafés all have their own very distinct style, but mostly they are a form of what I would call cozy hipster.
