Hong Kong is the only place in the world that has entered into an agreement with the mainland Chinese Government, allowing wine imports to go into China under CEPA and enhanced customs facilitation measures.
This has made Hong Kong a wine trading and distribution centre for the region, particularly the Chinese market which is showing great potential in terms of wine consumption.
Over the years, Hong Kong’s International Wine & Spirits Fair (IWSF) has become a one of Asia’s most important wine events attracting in 2014, more than 20.000 buyers from 75 different Countries among the over 30.000 daily visitors.
The event has a very wide appeal and keeps gaining international reputation acting as an important meeting point for wine and spirits professionals from all over China.
This fall Vinitaly Hong Kong returned to the International Wine & Spirits fair from the 5th to the 7th of November with its sixth consecutive edition organizing a macro area of nearly 1000 sqm entirely dedicated to Italian wine.
