  1. Alessio, believe me when I say I completely understand you. I have eaten at Buca and many other Italian restaurants, and I enjoy to a point. I am not very finicky with food. However, I also know true Italian cuisine, and you will never find anything in America that is Anywhere Near what you are used to. Unless you eat at a coule 5 star Italian restaurants here or there. You would probably think they are Good. Problem is this, in America you will pay about $250 per person, for what you would have the same in Italy for about $40-50 per person. What is top notch here, is slightly above average for you there. I migliori auguri con il tuo canale!

  2. I am glad you are not rating these types of Italian restaurants. Everything you said is true, smart decision.

  3. I was traveling in South Carolina once and was desperate for food and needed a veggie option, so I ended up at Buca di Beppo as well and I had the exact same thoughts as Alessio 😀 this just took me back seriously.. I mean it wasn't terrible, it was okay and served its purpose but I was also soo full after really not that much food and I also took leftovers with me lol. I'm Swiss by the way and cook Italian-inspired food multiple times a week 🙂

  4. One of these days, I want to see him go into the kitchen and show the chef how to make the food. Im sure the video will go viral. 😂

  5. This guy needs to practice his English a bit more it's hard to really understand him sometimes. It's obviously he needs to expand his vocabulary. Definitely needs to learn how to articulate words . Love the videos guys !

  6. Went to the Vegas location for my son's rehearsal dinner. The dish names were Italian, the food itself was tragic.

  7. Its not just America. Any country with another country's food puts their own twist on it. For instance McDonald's, burger King, Wendy's all have different food at restaurants in other countries that America's would say that isn't American

  8. Most Italian restaurants like this are inspired from what the old school Sicilian mafia guys liked back in the 40's and 50's and probably way different than what he would be used to being from the north regardless of the quality

  9. Oh no. You gave up defending the Italian culture just like the first few generations of Italians coming to NY and were beaten down by the Irish police. Our ancestors gave up the dream to bring our culture here to have a better chance to assimilate into the NY political environment and now almost no one 2nd or 3rd generation can even speak the language.

  10. Americans love the runny spaghetti sauce. We dip the bread in it. I guess maybe you should move back in with mom? Let your ex wife take me out to eat instead.. judging by the bombardment of these videos, you'd be happier.

  11. First time I had olive oil with balsamic vinegar on bread was in Rome in the 1970s. Only saw it offered at one restaurant when I was there. it became common in NYC in the late 80s from what I saw.

  12. lol…this was great I certainly didn't need an Italian to showcase how bad any chain restaurant may be, haha. I get ya though. Non-chain places are potential homerun places depending on where you're at of course. That goes with any authentic type foods. Your results may vary but you still have to get out there and try them out! Doing local searches on-line will usually provide you with the head start. Great job guys, that was fun 💞

  13. My grandma was sicilian and she spoiled me on amazing italian food. The chain restaurants cant come close to her cooking.

  14. I've been to Buca di Bepo in Albuquerque once or perhaps twice. Very underwhelming.

  15. Can you PLEASE do a video making your own lasagna??!
It is my favorite meal and I would love to see how you make it.

  16. Nothing good about italian food. Its all the same sauce, just different noodle. Just like mexican food. Same fillings, different wrapping, tostadas, burrito etc

  17. Jessi lets behonest we know those restaurants aren't authentic Italian restaurants but you are going to miss some of them. Bucca is good but they do serve big portions and Olive Graden is good for what it is Americans version of Italian food. I get your husband too. Its like taco bell to us Mexicans or On The Border restaurants they are not authentic Mexican restaurants. Mexicans from Mexico wouldn't be caught in there. So i understand but i would miss some of the Italian food chains.
