Paolo is departing for Italy to apprentice at a restaurant and learn more about Italian cuisine. The day before he leaves, he pays a visit to his father to drop off some belongings he can’t take with him. But his visit has an ulterior motive; he wants to find out more about his estranged mother, Antoinetta, still living in Italy. Realizing it’s time to tell the truth, Paolo’s father Gaetano reveals the reason why he and Antoinetta separated for the good of the family.
