Bastone: Discovering Fine Italian Dining in Atlanta

Hey Foodies! Come with me to @bastoneatl . a @porchettagroup – an incredible Italian restaurant in Atlanta that I had the pleasure of dining at recently. 🍝🍷

Let’s start with the Mozzarella & Salumi Bar. The mozzarella is made in house and is so fresh and creamy – it’s truly a cheese lover’s dream come true. Paired with the artisanal salumi and crispy bread, it’s the perfect start to any meal.

Next up, the Paccheri. This dish is the definition of comfort food – the pork ragu is slow-cooked to perfection and has just the right amount of spice, while the basil veloute adds a touch of freshness. And let’s not forget the pistachios and pecorino on top – it’s a match made in heaven.

Now, let’s talk about the Blood Orange Glazed Salmon. As someone who typically doesn’t order fish at restaurants, I have to say, this dish blew me away. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the blood orange glaze added a tangy sweetness that complemented the charred sweet peppers and Swiss chard so well. And the toasted almonds added a nice crunch to the dish.

Last but not least, the Broccoli Caesar. I was a bit skeptical about the broccoli in a Caesar salad, but let me tell you, it totally works. The alici fritti and crispy prosciutto add a nice salty crunch to the dish, while the parmesan ties it all together.

And you have to try the martini made with pasta water!

Overall, Bastone is a must-visit if you’re in the Atlanta area. The food is top-notch and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting.
