  1. All raccoons will wash their food if they have access to water. Friends of ours had a family of raccoons who routinely visited their patio. They would feed them hard boiled eggs and a variety of raw veggies each evening. They always included a large pan of water so that all the raccoons could wash their veggies and shell and wash their eggs. Very cute to watch.

  2. None of you know why raccoons dip their food. It's because they use their hands to sense what they are about to eat. Their hands have high sensitivity when wet.
