I grew up with my brothers in a humble and typical Italian family in Toronto where both my parents worked, so we were raised by our Italian speaking immigrant grandparents. Since I was a kid, I watched, helped and learned how to cook and prepare our meals and sauces from garden to table.
Every year we would harvest all of our family’s tomatoes and vegetables from several family gardens and would prepare our home made tomato sauce, hot pepper sauce, pesto, chili infused olive oils.
Passionate about maintaining my Italian culture, ethnicity, traditions and love of home made traditional Southern Italian cuisine, starting Cucina Calabria is the fulfillment of a dream to bring recipes from my childhood for all to enjoy!
