Picture this, you’re having a nice, relaxing walk on a private beach without a care in the world. All of a sudden, your foot drops into a deep and mucky puddle. You struggle to pull your leg out, but it just won’t budge. Before you know it, you’re sinking rapidly, and half of your body is submerged in cold, wet quicksand. The more you struggle, the more you sink. Talk about a terrible way to end a vacation.

  1. Quicksand is usually only waist high and still if it's not you won't be up to your neck

  2. "First and foremost, whatever you do, don't move a muscle. The more that you move, the quicker you will sink". "Next step, begin wiggling your feet". TIMEOUT BACK UP ……Well, which is it? Stay still? Or wiggle and sink? You can't do both (according to the fundamental laws of common friggin sense lol). I came here to accurately learn. I have quicksand in certain areas of my property/land acreage, not to mention two young daughters who play outside all of the time. So seriously, which choice is ultimately better? And in regards to potential comments, unless you're an actual expert with anything other than a educated guess, please don't chime in because my children's lives might one day depend on what you say. Call me a little bit too theatrical or dramatic, I don't care. At the end of the day, I call it being proactive and logically prepared by controlling the potential outcome the best way I know how. Any negative feedback will mean nothing to me. I'm not here for you, I'm here for me, potential criticizers. So, with that being said, anyone? Is there anyone who can genuinely tell me which is the better approach? Staying still in hopes of a rescue? Or by attempting to wiggle your feet loose, and potentially risk sinking deeper? I'm genuinely asking here. I probably wouldn't give a s*** about this if I didn't have this stuff on my land. All 48 acres of it. Between rattlesnakes, ticks, spiders, scorpions, wild coyotes, and quicksand, I no longer let my girls out of my sight. Real talk lmao
