This week I’m focusing on how to master good manners while on holiday in Italy as a tourist. With some polite key words or phrases you can have a much deeper and more authentic experience of Italy while being culturally sensitive and respectful. This is easy Italian for beginners with some more advanced phrases for those who have been studying Italian for a while.

Every day I get so many emails and comments asking why you can’t locate the music I use or find it using Shazam. I purchase music licenses for almost all the music you hear in my videos. I buy them them from various royalty-free production music sites and most of the time they don’t list the performer because it’s music made only for film productions with an audio watermark throughout the entire track, unless you purchase the single-use license for $50-100 per track. I use a lot of opera so often I’ll reference the opera but I won’t be able to direct you to a recording of that specific performance that you could stream or buy on iTunes or Spotify. Hope that clears things up and thank you for appreciating quality music.

Great video. Definitely hoping to be better with my Italian when we go again later this year. I also got a kick out of your brief departure into an American accent with the WiFi discussion 🙂
Grazie!! The plane to Italy leaves tomorrow morning! Knowing how to be polite is such a valuable skill.
This was wonderfully helpful! Coming in two weeks for my first trip to Italy and so very excited!!!❤
Thanks. Great work!
Thank you, Kylie, this is wonderful! I’m traveling to Italy this summer and these phrases will be very helpful. I’m so excited to use them. ❤
perfect for my trip to rome this summer. another amazing video kylie!
Thank you, Kylie! I love watching your videos. It is a pleasure to learn Italian from you with the beautiful backdrop of sunshine, lush greenery and flowers.❤️
I found particularly useful the explanation of Italian queuing. I was recently on holiday in the South of Italy and my boyfriend and I stopped at a service station to break up the car journey. The Italians were all casually hanging out near or far from the till, chatting to each other, some waiting for their coffee. I tried to read the room but after watching your video I worry that I have inadvertantly skipped the line. Sono mortificata! 😲 The lady at the till was very kind to me and my efforts to speak Italian though. I did overhear a mention of 'gli stranieri' later on when she was chatting to an elderly signor with a casual wave in our direction. I wish my Italian had been better so I could understand what she was telling him.
Una ragazza bielorussa che conosco dice che per lei la parola italiana dal suono più brutto è CREPUSCOLO, posso sapere quale è quella che meno piace a te?
Thank you for this video! I am an American ex-pat living in Milan with my Italiano husband, also a Guido(!) I constantly cringe when overhearing English-speaking tourists who do not try to learn essential polite words before traveling to Italy. Or speaking too low when it's difficult to hear what you are saying, while the Italian citizen only knows elementary English. Speak up slowly and succinctly, per favore!
grazie per il lecione 🙂
Grazie Kylie😄 I am travelling with my family to the south of Italy in October this is just what we need!
A lot of info to absorb.

La cortesia e' gratis ma tanto contaggiosa.
Wonderful Kylie, thank you. I would be grateful to know what is the correct response if someone says "Possiamo darci del tu". This will be coming from someone older/teacher/doctor or the like. Should you say "grazie" or something else?
As always, David and I love watching your videos.
We are also currently in Castiglion Fiorentino until 28 June
So this video is perfect for David.
David and I would love to meet you if you and your family are interested. 💚🤍❤️
Thank you for the video! I'm coming from Slovenia, working in a shop where come mostly tourists and al lot of them are Italians. It's funny how they always expect of me to speak italian and understand them. In Slovenia everybody speaks english as a second language and italians don't even try to say hello or dober dan (slovenian). I just wanted to point out the double standards. But i am learning italian so i can be polite on my vacation in Palermo 🙂
I received a smile in Cremona after my purchase by saying "a presto". Made me so happy!
I am giving up. I love your videos, but of late they have been less. I realise you need to put your family first.
