A truly magnificent performance! A performance likely to anger Ms. Gidey and possibly make her question her decision to train for longer distances. Don't be surprised to eventually see her attack this distance and run 10 secs. below the WR. But how to overcome a blistering fast finish of a tail-hugging fellow competitor? Of course both Mr. Zatopek and Mr. Foster both provided the answer to that dilema, namely throw in a mid-race blisteringly fast lap. Is Ms. Gidey that good? I believe so, and much more.

Runner of the year so far! My gosh her final laps are a thing of pure devastation! Her 1500m final lap to WR and now this. The way she picks up steam and then wham goes into turbo for the final lap. whew What a runner…what a racer. She has the speed of an 800m runner…the strength of a 10k runner… This lady is so amazing it is insane! Not only two WR's in a week but in two vastly different races.. 1500m and 5k? wow! A track legend! Imagine if she were a man and didnt have to lose out a few of her prime years for child birth! My gosh….Babies and WR's! One fast momma! Womens track is in a new golden ERA like we have never seen before! The number of WR's the last few years from the HS level to the pros! The women are burning up the track! wow!
