At 12:50 in the video I said that Europe was cheaper due to the better exchange rate. But I meant to say that it's cheaper now than if the exchange rate was worse compared to the US dollar. In reality there are of course other factors, especially inflation. So I wouldn't say that it's cheaper to travel in Europe now than it was on previous trips. If anything it seems to be getting overall more expensive in a lot of places. Schengen Zone is “visa free” travel to the countries within the zone. You don’t need a separate visa to go to each place. Going through customs is different from passport control. Customs is for declaring goods and valuables. Some countries in the Schengen zone will still ask for your passport (ID) to board the plane — especially transiting into Germany by bus. The Germans will often board the bus and check everyone’s passport and will also look in the toilet for stowaways 😂
Malta is amazing! I was there recently and look forward to returning. The ferry from Valletta to Sliema was under construction.

Malta is very nice, but i dont know whether I prefer Majorca. The beaches are better there and some really picturesque places. Both islands undeniably beautiful.

The conversion scam resembles typical mafia operations. I wonder if the scam is deployed by the ATM company that made the machine, as part of a cost cutting deal with the countries they set up in. Probably a US company. Cheers!
I was in Vienna in 2009 and I remember how bad the exchange rate was. I then went to Hungry where they were not on the Euro and it was cheaper to visit.
You need a Schwab account. No more foreign fees.

Hi Gabe, don't miss out on historic and beautiful Senglea, Cospicua, Vittoriosa and Kalkara. They're on the other side of the Grand Harbour. You can ride a ferry from Valletta and be there in 6 minutes.

Euronet's statement is that banks aren't setting up enough ATMs. Therefore, what they're doing isn't a scam. Seems like a non sequitar to me. They never address the enormous charges, but keep saying they clearly list the options on the screen, and that people choose their options freely. They never indicate a benefit for making such a choice. Are they saying that some people are simply opting to screw themselves freely and with open eyes? Weird. Just discovered your channel a couple days ago and have been binging. Love your style!

Hi 🙂 I'm really surprised that you are not using the Wise Card … Its a multinational wallet hold Visa Debit card. We just travelled from NZ to Australia and for every transfer I was never charged more than $5.00 NZD. I used it to purchase everything everywhere while in Australia.

E$ 22 is close to US$32 for access to a VIP lounge where one can eat a lot and rest. VIP lounges have always been expensive, but airport food prices are so outrageous that now lounges may be a better option.

I am catching up on your last videos. Went up to the north of Sweden with a rental car. Back now. Finally got a possible diagnosis on my stomache problems I have had for about four years. Tropical sprue. Unusual disease to catch, but with my travel history very likely. NOT celiac disease. This means that my adventurising life is back again if I just can fix my small intestine. Probably will be fixed after antibiotic treatment!
