  1. Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is one of my go-to midweek wines. I tend to stick with The Wines Society's picks, as they are excellent value, but I will keep my eye open for these high end wines.

  2. I recently tried a Montepulciano from Molise which is an area a little less known compared to Abruzzo.
    It was an excellent wine with dark spicey fruit with just a touch acidity and a long finish. Some great value in that part of Italy.
