Actor, singer, entertainer and politician, Sonny Bono’s former Palm Springs, California restaurant is being demolished to make way for new modern homes.
Bono’s Italian restaurant and Tennis Club opened in 1985 and is where he met his wife, Mary Whitaker. Bono became Mayor of Palm Springs in 1988 and sold the restaurant in 1991. It’s been vacant since the sale. The restaurant was located at 1700 North Indian Canyon Drive, at the corner of Via Escuela, in the Racquet Club Estates neighborhood of Palm Springs.
