  1. I think it should be double that for any of the government people that want to participate. Just run everyone out of there and then you wouldn’t have to come up with all these ridiculous rules.

  2. I don’t eat out, I’m dancing, I’m moving, I’m waving my hand in the air, I don’t eat out, I don’t eat out (except on a couple of rare occasions…but…), I don’t eat out, I can cook uhuh, I can cook uhuh, and I don’t spit in my food or drop it on the floor and serve it, uhuh I don’t eat out! (commas intentionally used…because I’m intelligent and can cook, uhuh I can…)

  3. commie blue leftist government wants to push private business owners out so they can own the properties and commercial retail. same reason cities empowered looting and rioting and called it mostly peaceful. understand their end game before it's too late… or sell and relocate someplace where the political leadership doesn't betray you and your family in favor of foot locker looters and pfizer mandates.

  4. God forbid people use a street for something other than dumping their personal transport pod.
Regressive, imbecilic bullshit. If every city street was full of outdoor dining it would be a paradise. Imagine if public transport took you to vibrant neighborhoods full of small businesses, instead of sitting in traffic and stressing out over parking to cram yourself into a tiny building and get an airborne disease.

  5. The $7500 is for every restaurant. Big or small, same fee. Caffe or restaurant, same fee. North End or South End, Same …wait the South End is paying any fees? There should be a fee, but it should be citywide, it should be fair and balanced as opposed to what is currently in place.

  6. I lived above a bar one time my choice but I wouldnt dream of trying to close bar because it was loud till 230 am It was my choice to live there restaurants are trying to come back after 2 years of hell IF YOU DONT LIKE WHERE YOU LIVE MOVE DUM A##e#

  7. Democracy? What Democracy? If this was in China, Boston City CPC Officials will be demoted… and the city will come to an arrangement with local business owners.
    Vote them out!

  8. THIS IS WHAT YOU GET FOR VOTING DEMOCRAT….NOW LIVE WITH IT. SOON YOU’LL SUFFER EVEN MORE.

  9. Keep voting in corrupt politicians, mainly socialist democrats, when will people wake the hell up !

  10. Refuse to pay!! This is discrimination!! Don't hav outdoir dining anywhere in the city, we hav a huge rat problem as it is.. its not necessary this year with low covid numbers.

  11. Restaurants don’t own the sidewalks and streets so yes they should pay. It’s time to move the eating back inside! Stop using up all the sidewalk and parking spaces! Boston has enough parking issues as it is. Besides I don’t get why people want to eat outside with so many people walking past their tables and talking most likely spitting on their food.. foot traffic there gets very crowded on warm days and even more so with restaurants hogging up the side walks and parking spaces

  12. Dont charge them let the restaurants make up the money they lost. They are behind cause of covid and your policy.

  13. The North ends needs to get rid of all of those stupid cars. Seriously, turn it into a walk only part of Boston Ma. People and their cars are responsible for it being tightly packed. Why on earth do you even need a car if you are living in downtown Boston?? It's so hard to walk through the North End without some stupid driver barreling towards you. Like all I want to do is cross the damn street at the crosswalk.

  14. I’m born and raised in the north end and I just laugh thinking of a rat 🐀 jumping onto peoples dinners. I hope it happens because it’s all yuppies
