Restaurants don’t own the sidewalks and streets so yes they should pay. It’s time to move the eating back inside! Stop using up all the sidewalk and parking spaces! Boston has enough parking issues as it is. Besides I don’t get why people want to eat outside with so many people walking past their tables and talking most likely spitting on their food.. foot traffic there gets very crowded on warm days and even more so with restaurants hogging up the side walks and parking spaces
The North ends needs to get rid of all of those stupid cars. Seriously, turn it into a walk only part of Boston Ma. People and their cars are responsible for it being tightly packed. Why on earth do you even need a car if you are living in downtown Boston?? It's so hard to walk through the North End without some stupid driver barreling towards you. Like all I want to do is cross the damn street at the crosswalk.
