Today’s Highlights:

The suspect involved in the robbery at Trois Supermarket in Uquire Road, Freeport on Monday 15th May, 2023 was arrested by police early on Friday 19th May, 2023.
• The suspect is said to be a man named Kendell from Jade Courts in Couva.

A man who is yet to be identified was gunned down in Santa Margarita Circular, St. Augustine on Thursday 18th May, 2023.
• Around 11:10pm, officers of the St Joseph CID received a report of gunshots at Santa Margarita Circular, St Augustine.

A shooting in Monte Grande, Tunapuna, left one (1) man dead on Thursday 18th May, 2023.
• The deceased was identified as 27-year-old Brandon Richards also known by his alias Johnson of Lovell Street, Monte Grande, Tunapuna.
• Around 5:30pm, Richards was standing near a standpipe in O’Keefe Street, when a black vehicle pulled up next to him.
• The occupants alighted from the vehicle and shot Richards multiple times before fleeing the scene.
• Residents of the area contacted the police and emergency health services who responded to the report and conveyed Richards to the Mt hope hospital where he was pronounced dead while undergoing treatment.
• Crime scene investigators visited the scene and recovered 25 spent 5.56 shell casings.

I assisted police with an investigation into the murder of a man who was gunned down in San Juan on Tuesday 16th May, 2023.
• The deceased was identified as 22-year-old Turell Boyce aka “Shorto” of Julie Field Boulevard, San Juan.
• At around 7:14pm, residents of Upper Bushe Street, San Juan heard a series of loud explosions.
• When the sounds subsided, residents investigated and found Boyce’s body lying in a pool of blood covered in multiple gunshot injuries.
• The police and paramedics were immediately notified and Boyce who sustained 12 gunshot wounds, was rushed to the mt hope hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
• A team of officers led by Sgt Bennett and Cpl Mendoza responded to the report and are continuing investigations.

Edwin Thomas has been charged with conspiracy to murder his wife, Subrina Thomas on Thursday 18th May, 2023.
• Thomas was charged while in custody at the Mon Repos Police Station by Detective Constable Mathura of the Region 3 Homicide Bureau of Investigations, after receiving advice from Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Joan Honore-Paul.
• He is expected to appear, virtually, before a Point Fortin Magistrate to answer to the charge of conspiring with others to murder his wife, Subrina Thomas.
• Thomas was arrested on Tuesday 16th May, 2023 by a team of Homicide detectives and officers of the Southern Division Task Force at his home in Aripero Village, South Oropouche.
On Monday 13th February 2023: 45-year-old Subrina Thomas, was shot and killed at Fanny Village in Point Fortin.

A man identified as 34-year-old Akim London of Point Fortin was charged with the murder of Subrina Thomas after he appeared before a Point Fortin magistrate on Friday 24th March 2023.

CCTV footage captured five (5) men robbing an Np gas quick shop at a gas station in Saddle Road, San Juan on Thursday 18th May, 2023.

Two (2) men attempted to rob a man of his vehicle on Eight Street Barataria between 3rd and 4th Avenue around 10:40pm on Thursday 18th May, 2023.
