Today we are on one Princess Cruises newest ships the Enchanted Princess to check out one of their specialty restaurants Sabitini’s Italian Trattoria. Specialty restaurants are a bit controversial as cruising is already expensive so why pay extra for specialty dining. In today’s Princess Cruises Dining Review we are going to tell you everything you need to know about Sabitini’s so you can decide if it is worth your time and money.

Our Princess Cruises review starts with the atmosphere. Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria is an Italian themed restaurant with bottles on the walls, neutral colours and an open kitchen to watch the chefs make pasta in the morning. Sabatinis Princess has an exterior wall that is lined with windows which is really nice, depending on your dining time you might be able to catch the sunset or enjoy the views of the ocean. The atmosphere to me felt like a typical Princess cruises specialty restaurant, feeling pretty upscale.

Princess Cruise food has stepped up their game. Sabitini’s has a new menu that offers traditional Italian flavours with lots of homemade pasta dishes and delicious entrees. It is a four course menu plus the appetizer that is on the house. It was a lot of amazing food. You choose a soup or salad, then an antipasti, then a pasta dish, an entree and dessert. They do also have a special drink menu for Sabatini’s if you want to dive right into the Italian experience. Princess Cruises Sabatini restaurant offered some delicious food, great views and was perfect for a special meal.

  1. Just to be clear as well, the Enchanted Princess recently left dry dock for some changes however the restaurant is still in the wrong place. Salty Dog is apparently changing to O'Malley's but the deck plans are still wrong as far as we can see. When were on it next time we will let you know or if you've been on it since let us know 🙂 [we also did check both pre April 2023 and post April 2023 and both showed the same on the deck plans…. no clue why]

  2. We thoroughly enjoyed Sabatini’s on the Enchanted Princess as well. However, we did not go there for dinner. As suite guests, Sabatini’s is where the Suite Guest breakfast is served every morning. The breakfast is wonderful and the service is even better. We left every day with “Happy Juice” (our waiter described mimosas 😁). It looks like they are moving “The Catch” restaurant to where Sabatini’s is currently located and moving Sabatini’s up to where Bistro Sur La Mer currently resides on deck 7. My wife tells me that we are going to Sabatini’s for dinner on our next cruise. Thanks for the review.

  3. Yes The Enchanted did just come out of dry dock and her floor plan changed a bit adding several new restaurants and moving Sabatinis . Adding The catch by Rudy etc. I’m boarding her in mid July and am interested in the new lay out.

  4. Got to say that I have been watching cruise videos. I have not been on a cruise yet so doing a lot of reseach. LOL. Keep these coming my friends. LIKE 55. 👍👍👍

  5. Sometimes we like to book a specialty dining night our first night of the cruise. First, embarkation day and the main dining room can be a bit chaotic for the first night.Second, we are usually so tired of eating mid cruise we like to really enjoy that first cruise night hungry and ready to enjoy a paid for meal experience. Thanks Linda and Aaron. 😊

  6. We just booked our first Princess Cruise, Royal Princess 14 days Alaska, for our 25th wedding anniversary. We aren't fans of the trend towards so many "specialty" restaurants on a ship. We don't want to encourage this trend. We may try to get a reservation to one on the day of our anniversary just for a fair comparison. The MDR and Buffet variety is way different than our usual Texas fare anyways so the specialty restaurants aren't adding any additional value to the experience.
