Good work! Congrats 👏🎉
such a great content!! top quality of information and images. Maybe Herculaneum in future?
Algún día la conoceré, pero este video me dio un estupendo panorama. Es mi sueño dorado. Felicidades por tan excelente labor.
No acabé de entender si todavía están los frescos en los muros o ya no. Sólo las construcciones 😢. Perdón
I was in Pompeii a few weeks ago. Watching this video gives a lot more insight into what I actually saw. Sadly looks like I missed a few things in my visit, but my feet were just giving out by the end. It's not easy to walk around in those very rough stone roads.
Excelent!
Excellent presentation
This is one of a handful of docos I have seen that are relay worth watching . The quality is out standing .
Love all the detail. Better than anything you'd find on TV. We will never tire of these videos on ancient Rome! Please make as many as you can, thank you!
Very nice and informative video, although I can't quite see the "multicultural" side of Pompey that this man is referring to, since the only culture visible is the Graeco-Roman one. There is no sign of any other culture or religion. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Please add Ukrainian subtitles 🙏🏻 thank you for the video 😊
What, beyond the DNA-composition of its inhabitants marks Pompeii as multicultural and not just roman?
Great video thank you so much.
Pink Floyd
EXCELLENT video. Very detailed, well explained and educational. Highly recommended!!! Thank you for all your hard work!!!
Este es lugar que más quiero conocer en el mundo
Thank you Manuel! I ove your videos. And you are handsome. 😊
Very well done. Thank you.
This video was dazzling! Everything about it was great—just the video and the editing are outstanding—but I especially liked the focus on the houses of Pompeii 15:46 with the description of interior features, e.g., the peristyle and the atrium, and how they hold together the invisible “craziness” of the perimeter. The Pompeiians, it seems, had no concept of “curb appeal” whatsoever—not that that’s a bad thing. Every aspect of their homes that mattered—their social spaces, their status markers, their art—took place on the interior. It’s something that had not occurred to me before.
Also, I really appreciated that you respect the original languages enough that you include them in the etymologies (e.g., Περι and Στυλος 18:48) and in the historical texts (the accounts in Latin of Pliny the Younger 26:38). I don’t know Greek or Latin but I’m very roughly “familiar enough” with each one that having the actual language is meaningful.
Your video never fails to impress! I’ve been to Pompeii ten years ago and you film is a good refresher of my memory. It looks much more rejuvenated now compared to ten years ago. Good work, well done and a big applause!
Italy ❤🇮🇹
More precisely Pompeii was practically controlled by Rome since 290 BC and part of the Roman Republic.
It shortly rebelled in 89 BC but wasn’t really conquered because it was already under Roman domination.
Excellent video but Why the obsession with multiculturalism . Visit Pompeii and the overwhelming evidence is of homogeneous roman culture.
I been there fanatic place to visit, only thing it was very hot that day. Great job, you did better then my tour guide.
This is the information I have always wanted to know! My understanding of Pompeii has increased tenfold. What a work of art!
Manuel, so handsome 😮
Wow Astonishing!!!
Pompeii: a subject that requires decades of study to understand.
video: I got this…thirty minutes, tops 😏👉
I’d be curious how these rooms were lighted. The minimalist ones may of been low lit and highlighted with lamps vs brighter colours may of been lit with more natural light. Curious
This reminds me of when I went and toured Ephesus. Definitely want to see Pompeii at some point. But the ability to see these ancient city/ies is amazing!
Manuelito! I have seen many videos about Pompeii. This is, perhaps one of the best videos I have seen. Great job! Keep it up.
It was a childhood dream to one day visit Pompeii and in 2016 I did just that, it did not disappoint. Remarkable place of which one visit is clearly not enough, so I plan to return soon. Your video was fascinating and added to my knowledge of Pompeii and Roman history, I look forward to watching more soon. Thanks
Manuel, como puedo trabajar en pompei, como me puedo hacer restaurador? Gracias
This is great.
Multikultural is BS. Some cultures are sucking. Other cultures are sucked off. But anyway BLM matter because they don't contribute anything criminal.
Tituli picti is now my new favorite word.
I still don't understand it. Please elaborate.
Thank you – the best documentary about Pompeii that I have ever seen!
