I've been constantly disappointed by TJ Carneys. Fun spot but the drinks aren't great and the food is overpriced for the quality.
I like Mi Pueblo a lot. Good food, great atmosphere, reasonable prices.
Tikka is fantastic! A strong contender for the best Indian food Iโve had in the US.
You missed The Original Word of Mouth for breakfast. You canโt beat their large breakfast and lunch menu selections. Their blueberry pancakes are amazing.
Cafe Venice has fantastic sandwiches, salads and sweet potato fries.
Made in Italy is good, but I still like San Marco the best. Tikka is great. Canโt wait to try the Thai place.
I have seen other blurbs about the best restaurants in Venice. They seem to slant the ones in downtown, Venice Island or close to it. Wonder if the list excluded the ones in Nokomis, which is essentially Venice. Wonder if they excluded the ones in the far southern part of Venice such as Tarpon Grill, Snooks and the 4 or 5 in Wellen Park that are moderate prices and the 2 fine dining places that just opened. If the guy does not like fish or seafood o big deal as a lot of people are in the same boat, however since Venice is a beach town of course the food is heavy on the fish niche his list just does not have a lot of importance. Maybe they do not like steak either? Overall the restaurants in Venice are less than average.
These two are cute but the food in Venice is not memorable. There are tons of restaurants but all of them are less than average and inconsistent. The only reason people like Venice is because it's a municipality not a community so you get that old neighborhood feel and no HOA. The bad is it's on the Gulf but it doesn't feel like a beach town. You can't even see the beach unless you live directly on the beach.The good is there is no rif raff around no homeless and no junkies. Basically no aggrivation which is why I like Venice but the bad food is the biggest reason I don't like Venice.
