I hope you enjoyed this video of me explaining how Wood Boring Beetles work. These things are hardly ever an issues but people still freak about about them. These beetles often expose their infestation through the frass the leave behind when they do their normal foraging activities.

you should look up lanternflies..if they ever hit your state that will be a big job for the pest control industry because they are tough to exterminate lol
Awesome.👍😉
These wood boring beetles can kill live trees! I have two trees that they killed and now I have to chop them down. They attack stressed trees. You have to use pure orange oil (D-Limonene) to kill them. It's what Arborists use.
i didn't know about these guys! thanks!
HI
Nice Video, really good style and explanation.
Will you stomp and kick some more in flip flops?
Great videos as always!
Are the assassin bug is what spreads a dangerous life threatening virus to people? Are they the ones that go up to your mouth and suck your blood while your sleeping aka kissing bug? Or am I thinking about another type of bug that just looks similar? When I would go camping those would cover the outside of my tent when I would wake up the next morning. Talk about being creeped out. Don't think having a Sasquatch coming up to my tent would be as scary and creepy as having a crap ton of those things all over your tent waiting till you come out to ambush and eat you! Or at least that's how it plays out in my very paranoid mind when I go camping. I'm like that kid in that movie stand by me when the chubby one was on watch duty at night when it was his turn to do so,think every 2 to 3 hours, taking turns, while his friends are sleeping. Every little forest sound he hears he points his gun towards that sound. I like that scared little boy, except I don't never have a gun, if I did I would probably waste all the ammo shooting in the dark possibly killing other campers. Nah just kidding I would not be that bad but close to it. I enjoy camping up to the point where it gets dark then I start to loose my shit and I'm awake all night long listening to coyotes and wolves howling all night with some extremely weird and loud moans and screams that sound like they in the air or wind it's very creepy as hell. Especially the loud screams and low gutteral sounds moaning or something like they in pain. Idk but I was the only one awake while everyone else in the tent I shared with was in deep sleep and snoring.

Whats up Dan the bug man, i have a question. I recently started doing pest control and ive done a few roach and bed bug jobs. So my question is what do you do to not bring home bedbugs and roaches?
Hey Dan! What flashlight do you use in your videos specifically the cockroach infestation video? I’m in the same field and need a good flashlight can you link yours?
Can you crush some worms ?😂😄
Hi
I hope you continue to film what you do and keep being passionate. It’s very encouraging 😊
THEY FLY
We used to heat our house using a wood burning stove but ALWAYS kept the wood pile a good distance from the house and never stored cut wood inside just as a preventative measure.
Having these beetles invade homes is no longer uncommon. I run a sawmill and I'm seeing more and more infestations of these beetles. Here in PA and MD, its the long horned type. I'm concerned, because in addition to my sawmill, I'm a carpenter and have found beetles in store bought lumber just in the last 2 years. This is after the drying and treating process to kill them. It's no longer working and each 300 stack of 2x4s from a major supplier, has evidence of infestation. Homeowners definitely need to keep an eye out for these in their homes as the climate warms and these little beetles become more widespread.
