International bust of notorious Italian mafia group leads to 132 arrests

Authorities say a total of 132 people across 10 countries were arrested in a raid on one of Italy’s most notorious organized crime groups, the ’Ndrangheta. Europol called the massive international bust the “largest-ever coordinated hit” against the group.

    Much more then 6,000 members I read something putting the number globally at 10,000 to 15,000 members and probably 250,000 associates. Extremely powerful and only now let's say the last 5 years starting cracking down on them. They are making $40 to 50 billion a year. That's insane

    They’ve been at this for years and years. And in Italy, they usually put up no resistance when being arrested so it’s easy to round up 200 people in one night they use the power of their attorneys to get them right back out.
