In today’s travel vlog I share my adventures in Italy, including visits to Florence and Milan, with lots of iconic landmarks, art, food, wine, history, culture, and of course, plenty of exciting watch content along the way. In this video I discuss my ongoing love affair with Panerai, comparing my mid 90s 40mm Luminor (ref. PAM048) to the new Panerai Luminor Quaranta (ref. PAM01370 and PAM01372) and the 38mm Luminor Due (ref. PAM01273). I also share my essential travel and vlogging gear including the best travel jacket, the Fragment Phoenix Comber jacket from Belstaff, and my camera gear of choice, in addition to the watches I took with me on my travels including Panerai, Lorier, Casio, Rolex, Tudor, and Squale. Join me for a horological, gastronomic, art and style filled travel vlog adventure where we’ll take a trip down memory lane in Florence, followed by a quick stop at some of the most iconic locations in Milan, and a sneak peek at what’s next on my travel and watch hunting list. What do you think about the watches featured in this video? And what are your recommendations for the best travel tech and camera gear? Please share in the comments!

  1. Awesome stuff , really nostalgic about Florence as I did a vespa ride there with my wife and to this day it gives me goosebumps just thinking how cool it was, Ciao

  2. How about the new blue Grand Seiko Ushio SLGA023. Stunning dial, light titanium and 5 day Spring Drive movement. It’s a summer beauty ❤

  3. I visited Florence around 10 years ago, and like you, I didn’t want to leave. It’s a magical place – the art is phenomenal, as is the architecture! I also visited Milan when I hit 30 (20 yrs ago now) – mainly to visit the birthplace of my beloved Alfa Romeo!

  4. Ciao, se sapevo che eri a Firenze potevo fare la tua personale conoscenza e offrirti un buon pranzo. Io abito vicino a Firenze. Sarà per la prossima volta. Il tuo è un ottimo canale e tu sei davvero bravo. Complimenti e Grazie per i tuoi video.

  5. As always, a wonderful journey to a great location. Just curious if Panerai would ever robustness test their watches during the matches of the Calcio Storico?

  6. The travel videos are my favourite type you do. Really interesting. I also love seeing your gear. Which mic do you use for voiceovers? Many thanks. Ross

  7. Che parse fantastic e che spettacolo fantastic. Ancona per favoured. Classe! 👏🏼👏🏼👍

  8. Fantastic Video TGV, Really interesting and throughly enjoyable!! Love the attire and choice of luggage… Keep the great work up!! BMJ ENGLAND 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

  9. LOVED this video. The travel video with the watches being the overarching storyline was brilliant. Great work.

  10. What do you think AI art will do to the …art of Art? I predict that it will inevitably make contemporary artists irrelevant, while simultaneously making the classics that much more important and special. Another question, which watch are you wearing when the machines take over?

  11. I wish I spoke Italian so that I could thank you properly without resorting to the crass shortcut of an auto-translation. This is one of my favorite videos and I could literally feel your emotions when you said you wanted to cry. Returning to one's old college haunts is one of the most emotionally overwhelming and even exhausting experiences one can undertake, and a city as beautiful as Florence…whew! As per your usual, wonderfully photographed with such tasteful accompaniment and sprinklings of humor, all mixed with your flair for history. It's a masterpiece and why you have one of the most intriguing channels on the Web, not just for watch nerds but anyone who enjoys the finer things without being a snob, and so down-to-earth about it to share with all of us. Bravo!

  12. Succession is brilliant. You need to watch it. I've been disappointed by Hugo Boss quality recently and won't buy any of their products again.

  13. Bravissimo! This is exactly what I want to see! Not necessarily the traveling, because it is expensive and time consuming, but these kind of videos, where you share your experiences and sharing a piece/part of yourself with us. Love your Intros and themes with Hugo, but it is more superficial humor (although great humor needs profundity), but it feels a bit like a TV star who made a great joke, which made him famous and now he has to continue that because the people want to see this, regardless if he loves or hates it. And what he really could share, the more deep person he is, gets lost (and sadly no one cares) 😢. No, I am sure that’s not you, but I want to encourage you to start with more deep dive of yourself, your personality, experience, wisdom. What moves you inside. Even if this is significantly vulnerable to be. 😊 Thanks and keep on ticking!

  14. I was in Milan a few years back, visiting distant relatives on my wife's side. what a gorgeous city! and the ice cream… I almost had a mystical experience tasting the ice cream there 🙂
Just cam back from a trip to Portugal, travelling with a Longines GMT and a Yema Superman. It's so great to be able to travel again!
    Great vid!

  15. Simply spectacular content, a lot of love goes into these and it shows. I looked at my Panerai every few minutes watching this, and I so miss Milan, Thank you. jtg
