See what food (appetizers, main entrees & desserts) to expect on a 7 day or longer Carnival Cruise Line ship at the main dining room for dinner! Also see our reviews of many of the fine dining offerings- Lobster Night was especially good. These were from our Spring Break March 2022 cruise aboard the Carnival Vista.

The way to do dinner reservations & look at dining menus on Carnival cruise ships has changed, so we provide you with some tips on what to expect and how to prepare, as you will be needing the Carnival Hub App.

We look forward to your comments- what do you think and what would you order? Don’t forget to watch our other Carnival food videos in the playlist below:

  1. Would love your opinion, RC food or Carnival which one is better? Or are they comparable at all? I have not cruised yet and am still trying to pick between the two lines for my first cruise. I have heard that Carnival has more “free” food options at better quality than RC. Again just trying to collect info. I say I just need to go on both to see!

  2. Your food review and presentation: very good. The camera handling and AF (auto focus) application: very amateurish. This takes away from the enjoyment of the video.

  3. I appreciate this video 100% but if I was at your table every night I would totally want to sit somewhere else lmao

  4. Knowledgable, detailed evaluation of every item no matter how simple, ie fried oysters. Enthusiastic responses, very genuine, expresses her dislikes as well as her likes.

  5. After watching your review of Statendam and Cunard,it is so obvious they way above Carnival food wise, and other ways. Seeing each dish gives the ability to do comparisons Thank you again for your super reviews!

  6. That strip at @2:29 made me laugh. They stuck a whole (unpeeled) clove of burnt garlic on top of an untrimmed strip. That cut needed a quick trimming before it was put on the grill, would have taken 15 seconds. Overall the food looks good but things like that are where you can see some corner-cutting.

  7. I never tried the Featured Indian Vegetarian but I will on my 25th Carnival cruise next month after seeing your video.

Also, grab a bottle of low sodium soy sauce (green bottle) from Lido Deck for day 4. I love the Grilled Tofu Steak. I would've also ordered the Grilled Barramundi and mix the two entrees together and splash some of the low sodium soy sauce.

  8. I'm surprised they haven't added 'table cloth' as an extra-fee service…it would probably be too hard for them to keep up with who ordered the 'table cloth package' and having it ready for them when they show up…

  9. I so enjoy watching your videos! It shows me what my choices will be for dinner in the main dining room on my cruise with Carnival. Wonderful meals I do not have to plan for, shop or cook. Nor do the dishes! Yeah!

  10. Me: cooked plain steam rice
Lady in the video: Hmm, it's really good. Fluffy and tender, I like it.
    21:30
Lady in the video: Not bad
Me: That must be a horrible dish

  11. Loved your video it helped out a lot for my first cruise of 4 days and now checking it out in anticipation of my 7 day.

  12. The braised brisket was really good, but what they call brisket we call Pot Roast, because that's exactly what it tasted like. Wasn't bad in any way but definitely pot roast not brisket

  13. Loved the tiramisu, didn't have the cream sauce and was surprised how much I liked it since I dont like coffee or coffee flavor things normally but if the Espresso was in the sauce maybe that why I liked it so much. But definitely going back for more.

  14. Braised oxen toung was apparently replaced because the menu I was given link to has rare find on night 4 as BBQ pulled wild boar. Instead. I'm a little disappointed because I wanted to try it. But oh well so many other new things to try

  15. Hehe strawberry smoothie in a soup bowl

I'm sure they stock enough lobsters for 3 per passenger

  16. Slobs walking into dinner wearing baggy t-shirts and jeans confrims everything I hate about Carnival.

The horrific "dancing" is just… Horrific.

  17. I love hearing your descriptions of the food. Don’t let the haters get you down. I love most things I taste as well. Some people are just unappreciative.

  18. Love your videos, however… Please 🙏🏼 for the love of God stop saying "eXpresso"!

You spell it correctly in the on screen description but then add extra letters when saying it.

    Cheers 🍻

  19. You guys rock! I have never been on a carnival cruise and I was curious what the main dining would be like. Everyone says Carnival had the worst food but this looked very comparable to RCL. I’m excited to try it when I sail on the Celebration in a few weeks!

  20. Thank you for the food review I could almost taste the food, I'll be on the Panorama next month can't wait to try everything

  21. Thank you so much for all your videos. The food ones especially! We are going on our first carnival cruise, and I am a foodie. Out of dozens of videos I've seen. Yours are always the best, by far. Their always heads and shoulders above everybody else's videos. You guys always kill it. Thanks again
    Your videos are🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️

  22. My man is a beast! He went on a 7 night cruise and didn't eat a single bite of food!! Kind of a selfish wife though…

  23. Another great video. On my Carnival cruise, the MDR food was very good and the service that we received from the three waiters were second only to Celebrity. I thought the food in the MDR was better than Royal Caribbean and the service more professional. I like the creativity of the menu as well as the almost flawless execution of the individual dishes. And unlike a few other cruise lines, the menus were accurate. Carnival would NOT be my first choice mostly due to entertainment and atmosphere. However, if they offer another Los Angeles to Singapore repo cruise …

The odd thing about the cruise was that we never ate at the buffet and have no idea what it was like. (g)

  24. I've never been on a cruise, my parents liked to travel though didn't like the idea of cruises for whatever reason. After watching your videos, I feel like I've been missing out. Really impressed by the variety, the food looks way better than some all inclusive resorts I've been to, plus comparing cost of flights to places, taking a cruise to another place is way more competitive option than I thought.
