Finally our pool in our property here in Tuscany, Italy, is finished. This was quite an exciting week for us to finally see the lining added and the water arrive. Some of you were asking who we used for the pool. In Italy, you need to also have a separate company that digs the hole, another company of builders who manage the cement foundation, the laying of the bricks and the border. We also used a third additional company to cut custom travertine for the border. For the actual pool itself we used a company called Piscine Castiglione. They do pools all over Italy. Every day I get so many emails and comments asking why you can’t locate the music I use or find it using Shazam. I purchase music licenses for almost all the music you hear in my videos. I buy them them from various royalty-free production music sites and most of the time they don’t list the performer because it’s music made only for film productions with an audio watermark throughout the entire track, unless you purchase the single-use license for $50-100 per track. I use a lot of opera so often I’ll reference the opera but I won’t be able to direct you to a recording of that specific performance that you could stream or buy on iTunes or Spotify. Hope that clears things up and thank you for appreciating quality music.

  1. Kylie l just love your style and energy and the way you include your husband in all your ideas and designs.

  2. Hi!
Your pool is beautiful! Please protect your child by installing a netting over the pool when not in use. Too many babies/toddlers die each year because they fall into an unsupervised pool. I don’t want this tragedy to befall on you!
    Love your Tuscan life videos!
    Warmest greetings for California.

  3. When your Patrons started rolling I thought: "NO! This can't be the end!"…. Oh…. and then being treated on more footage of your pool…… Heaven!

  4. Hi Kylie, I’m just back from a week in Cuba and seeing your pool reminds me of the white sand beaches and clear blue waters there you must be ecstatic with the outcome, thank you for sharing snippets of your life with us we are honored and glad you are taking your time and being responsible with purchases this is a lifelong journey not a race so enjoy all the ups and downs that come with it

  5. I really admire the layout of the pool relating to the existing building aside it made it a perfect looking pool house 🏖

  6. Maybe you should try some flea markets to see if you find the wrought iron chairs cheaper. I wouldn't do wicker. It gets so weak and starts to get brittle.

  7. A suggestion is teak deck chairs of the old design (Steamer is a Danish version which is very nice). They are comfortable and practical. And beautiful!

  8. Get the kiddie fence/net for the pool. Self closing locking gate. There should always be an adult accepting responsibility when any child in near the pool. — Be safe enjoy the pool… – From Florida…

  9. a beautiful, refreshing pool. the comments you make regarding sleep deprivation reminds me of my first baby. you are doing so very well. we are all inclined to want to give advice to help another, but sometimes it's important just to listen and to understand the mother's heart of love and care for her beautiful precious baby. for me the words, "you'll survive" provided a life line, 🙂 although at times it may not feel like it, you'll survive, and you will have wonderul memories of him.

  10. Is your son's name gianfranco? I like the way that Guido collects oranges and teaches his son the wonders of life A cool father

  11. Kylie the pool is beautiful!!!! I love it. My husband installs baby fences for pools as his company in Florida. You can install a temporary fence around the deck with a gate in the dirt. In Florida you can’t get your permit for your pool on a new build pool unless you have baby fence or alarms. Enjoy ❤

  12. Please put up a fence. My son jumped in the pool while I was cleaning it when he was 3, twice. And I was keeping a close eye on him. He did it right in front of me staring at me across the pool as he jumped and I'm yelling no. If he could've got to it when I wasn't around he would've. But we had it hated off. My neighbors 7 year old son drowned while 22 adults stood around the pool deck talking to each other and 'keeping an eye on the kids'. So, do not think there is anything failsafe! The more precautions you permanently put in place the better.

  13. Another lovely video, Kylie! I vote for 4 teak lounge chairs with wheels to make it easier to move them…there will be guests and family to lounge with. Also, I agree with you that a fence is a must. You will figure out a way to make it attractive and fitting. I hope you can enjoy your beautiful pool for many years to come. You deserve all the goodness coming your way!

  14. Look up youtube…Zoe Foster Blake and Hamish Blake…by Vogue Living. Their pool fence is very unique…also all year round furniture…a maybe.

  15. In the US you must have a fence of some sort around your pool or you cannot get insurance and you could get used if someone gets hurt.

  16. Your home and pool look beautiful, what colour pool liner did you use? it works so well under the Italian skies. x

  17. Beautiful pool! I would prefer a toned down fabric colour, and no white stripes. Because I wouldn't want visual clutter to compete with the serenity of the pool itself.

We have deck chairs in teak, and they grey naturally. E piú bello cosi.

  18. Love all your videos. Congratulations on my beautiful pool. Guido is not thinking of when you have other children and you’re attending one baby in another toddler gets away. You you need the fence. My friends son died in a Jacuzzi in just a moment of the realtor, wanting it, turned on and having left the sliding glass door open.

  19. Kylie I have enjoyed watching your beautifully produced and filmed episodes each week, you have made me fall in love with Italy. As a mother of 3 boys, all men now I fully understand your dream of having this gorgeous pool and spending long lazy days poolside as the children play. The reality is that children are curious by nature and will take any opportunity to steel away and have an adventure all of their own. Please fence your pool before you even consider what furniture you may wish to purchase. I worked as a swimming instructor for the Australian education department , educating children of the dangers of swimming without adult supervision. You can’t possibly be everywhere at once, nor can you always have eyes on your little man as he grows into a boy. Having said all that I thoroughly enjoyed raising my boys with their very own pool and I wish for you and your family all the fun we had.

  20. Dear Kylie, I have loved watching you over the past year and a half now and you work so so very hard – nothing seems to phase you and you just get on with tasks at hand. I love your zeal for life whilst at the same time you are so calm in every single video I have watched which has been most weeks. You are very kind, loving and you have a gentleness about you which is amazing. I have seen (like many of your viewers & subscribers) your home being lovingly transformed and if this has been amazing for us, how satisfying must this be for you and your husband along with your parents who have been with you guys so much. Your adorable baby boy is too young to appreciate all the love, care as well as attention to detail you as a family pour into your home. To be honest you put a lot of your generation to shame especially here in The UK and they could learn so much from you. You are a fighter, a doer and a delight to have come to know through your little home here on the internet. 💖 🤗🙏

  21. hi Kylie, many mums in South Africa put a potatoe in bed with the baby if a baby struggle to sleep, you can put it next to the babies legs. It help

  22. The pool and pool area is heavenly! I'm so happy for you all! I agree that safety is extremely important with children. I am hoping to eventually to actually get a glimpse of babies' face, but understand it is probably a protective decision on your part. He is so precious! Love you all! Janice from Arkansas USA

  23. Please put a fence. Maybe it could be a trellis type fence? with thornless roses or something like that? To be less of an eye sore but please put a fence ❤

  24. Kylie here in Australia when you have a baby in the hospital in a little take away bag they give you nappies, wipes and little things and also a dvd on water safety.
Seriously as a new mum, this dvd changed my views on water. It takes seconds, Guido doesnt realise how quick toddlers can be out of sight. Trust me ive had 3 kids and my youngest gave me a heart attack once slipping out the door while someone was over moving a sofa. She went and hid in the car 😂 but omg my heart, we lived near a creek and i was sure she has fallen in. Only to see her little head pop up 20 minutes after i was yelling for her.
Anyway Babies can drown in 10cms of bath water.
Seriously fence the pool… too many drownings happen each year it isnt worth the anxiety. And maybe you can find the video online for water safety and show Guido.
    Bacione ❤ pool looks superb

  25. It is so good to see you finally have your pool; it must be such a relief for you both. It is beautiful and blends so well into your landscape.

  26. I would go for pale blue and white striped cushions. And definitely keep an eye on Gianfranco and teach him to swim as soon as possible.
