  1. This is so onlogical. Oils are hydrophobic, or β€œwater fearing.” Instead of being attracted to water molecules, oil molecules are repelled by them… i never get it when people do it and they just do not listen. Btw i love adding some butter to my cooked pasta if i keep it plain but when making sauce i use pasta water.

  2. The fact that Italians didn't even invent pasta, and they act like they did. Putting olive oil in the water isn't a bad thing, it helps the pasta not get stuck together
