Presenting Napoli wine Asprinio di Aversa and “Alberata”.
Alberata is the ancient trellis system derived from Etruscan and Romans and it consists in marry a vine to a Poplar tree and let the vine grow 45 to 50 feet tall. Alberata come from “Albero”, tree in Italian, because the vineyard is supported by tall poplar trees. It is also called “Vite maritata” or “Married vine” because the vine is in symbiosis with its poplar tree.
This ancient trellis system ensures high leve of acidity even in very worm climate like the South of Italy, making possible to produce high quality sparkling wines. Asprinio di Aversa is a perfect example.
