Amatriciana sauce is one of the most popular Italian sauce and probably the most loved worldwide. Amatriciana sauce is made up of guanciale (pork jowl), tomatoe sauce, white wine, oil, pecorino cheese for grating, salt and in some versions onion and garlic. The amatriciana sauce recipe has evolved and thus many versions have cropped up over the years. In this version, I even used diced bacon instead of guanciale , red wine instead of white wine and added bell pepper to the recipe.
Ingredients:
. 800 grams of crushed tomatoes
. 300 grams of diced bacon
. 1 clove garlic
. 1 small onion
. 1/2 small glass of red wine
. 2 teaspoons of sugar
. 2 tablespoons of olive oil
. Bell pepper (optional)
. Pepper
