Italy is launching a new Orient Express train in 2024 inspired by the glamour of Italy’s Dolce Vita epoch in the 1960s. For travelers keen to snap up a spot on the exclusive route, it’s good news. Pre-booking has just opened for the luxury train service, run by the Accor group with the support of Italy’s national rail provider Trenitalia. The five-star train is offering passengers a choice of six exclusive itineraries.

To book one of these journeys, travelers need to visit the Orient Express La Dolce Vita website. The glamorous train will whisk passengers from the snowy Alps in the north to the undulating hills of Tuscany and the spectacular beaches of Italy’s south coast. There is a restaurant on board with renowned international chefs and sommeliers to give passengers a five-star dining experience.

Prices on the luxury train begin at €2,000 per person per night for a deluxe cabin. Passengers will also need to pay a €500 deposit for early booking. Travelers can choose from 12 Deluxe cabins, 18 suites, and one La Dolce Vita suite.

La Dolce Vita, as the locomotive has been named, will run between the north and south of Italy. Routes will also take visitors between some of the country’s most famous cities. Passengers can choose to stop off at La Minerva in Rome and Palazzo Donà Giovannelli in Venice.
