CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Dracula (Gary Oldman) welcomes Jonathan (Keanu Reeves) inside his castle and tells him that he “never drinks wine.”

FILM DESCRIPTION:
Based on Bram Stoker’s classic 1897 novel, this film from Francis Ford Coppola and screenwriter James Victor Hart offers a full-blooded portrait of the immortal Transylvanian vampire. The major departure from Stoker is one of motivation as Count Dracula (Gary Oldman) is motivated more by romance than by bloodlust. He punctures the necks as a means of avenging the death of his wife in the 15th century, and when he comes to London, it is specifically to meet heroine Mina Harker (Winona Ryder), the living image of his late wife (Ryder plays a dual role, as do several of her costars). Anthony Hopkins is obsessed vampire hunter Van Helsing, while Keanu Reeves takes on the role of Jonathan Harker, and Tom Waits plays bug-eating Renfield. Bram Stoker’s Dracula was the winner of three Academy Awards.

  1. I have a question: if any of you were in Jonathan's position and you notice your host is EXTRA pale and ghastly-looking with long fingernails, wouldn't you be taken aback? Or decline and run out of the house?

  2. hollywodd should be sued for the lying way he presents Vlad. Vald was an extraordinary man who did a lot of good. The fact that he was a vampire was a miserable invention of a German writer who wanted to become famous through a made up story.

  3. Tiny details are used very effectively in this movie. For example that roar sound. There are lots of details like this.

  4. You think that the royal family has Mongolian or Asian blood or are related to Attila the Hun? Mhm. 🍷

  5. A perfectly captured Dracula, done by the legendary Francis Ford Coppola as director, with two legends as leading Gary Oldman, and Anthony Hopkins with a young Keanu. A perfect storyline, soundtrack, cast and action, just a masterpiece of a film, and when you add Gary Oldman, it seals it.

  6. Such a classic and legendary film this is with a perfect storyline, soundtrack, cast, action as well as emotion. A film that is ageless, way ahead of its time, and even with age is still perfect. A film that captured Dracula completely and perfectly from the original with another master performance by the legendary Gary Oldman who just leads it fantastically alongside carries it with an iconic as well as unforgettable performance (like he always does) along with Anthony Hopkins, but literally especially when you have Gary Oldman, who always goes above & beyond sealing your movie to be one of the greats and of course a young Keanu all nailing their performances, directed by the legendary Francis Ford Coppola with another legendary unforgettable masterpiece film.

  7. One of my favorite movies of all time the story, actors and music man great legend movie I can never get enough of this movie.

  8. Best vampire film ive ever seen, along with, nosferatu the vampyre and both of them are two of the most beautiful color movies ever.

  9. The handsome young guy would then be bitten by Count Dracula and became Baba Yaga the Boogeyman who is the man of Focus, Commitment and Sheer Will.
