During my mission to review every restaurant in Little Italy, I got some clams and uncovered a brutal murder. Journey with me to one of Little Italy’s most well known restaurants, Umberto’s Clam House. We’ll try the food and with the help of some fantastic actors, reenact the death of notorious mob boss, Joe Gallo. Heads up: This is a video covers the mob. There will be a few f-bombs.

  1. That's not the same location where Joe Gallo was killed. The Umberto's where Gallo was shot was located on a corner.

  2. I ate at Umberto's original location (129 Mulberry St. – at the NW corner of Mulberry and Hester) when I was a kid in October of 1973, about a year and a half after the Gallo hit… I didn't even know about that incident until my father told me on our way home afterwards…

  3. Walked up asked the dude outside if they were open later found out he goes by the name tommy the nose I said hey this is the spot they whacked crazy joe gallo he said kinda but at the original spot, walked us in told the waiter these two are vip, we were given blue point oysters, oyster shots, grilled octopus, clams, a lobster mussel and clam pasta that was phenomenal. It was an amazing experience

  4. Right name, different location. The actual site is 129 Mulberry St. Now known as Da Gennaro restaurant is where Joe Gallo was shot.

  5. that is not the original location. De Gennaro across the street at 129 Mulberry is the original location. They were a lot better at the 2 location spent every weekend there in the 90's and early 2000's. Place has gone to shit.

  6. I was friends with Joe and Sina. I’m still in touch with her. You pronounced her name “Seena” but it’s actually S”eye”na. I was with them the first day they met and I shared many meals with them and his gang. We’d eat multi course meals together before they’d go out and do their business.

  7. I hate to break it to you but Joe Gallo was not shot and killed at that restaurant you need to go down a few more spots Umbertos was on the corner In 1972
