We admire classical/roman historians their enthusiasm etc but as someone who did Latin and Roman history at school leading to self study purchase of books on the particular subject the Roman/Byzantine world was built on slavery unlike Han dynasty were Peasants had land leading to scientific developments, monetary economy, a million Gauls were killed by Julius Caesar another million enslaved. I wish these aspects were taught or more critically portrayed by lovers of the classical world with a view to a more balanced analysis of that long period. The Atlantic Slave Trade has been discussed now more rigorously and rightly so!

Romulus and his twin reminded me that there was a period, and perhaps some still believe, that twins are an omen of evil. The evil eye of a witch I am Wiccan btw could cause twins, or a woman who slept with two men in an evening could birth children who didn't look like each other. We know now that children can be two different colors or born with eyes of brown and blue, one of each. Children born with a touch of white hair were thought to be touched by God but were still feared due to superstition.
We can predict the future if we know the past. Better yet, we can fix the future by recalling what didn't work in the past. This lesson is the greatest piece of knowledge I can present to my fellow beings. The second is that animals can show compassion, love, loyalty, the ability to learn our language and teach us theirs. We only have to make the effort. If we do not listen to them, and this planet, all we do now is just a self serving attempt at mattering in the big picture. I, for one, want to know I left this world less worse for wear. I believe in the drop in the bucket theory. Everything adds up. The thousands of trees, shrubs and native plants I spent my life growing adds to my reparations to that which I took from nature. I have raised dozens of wild animals who were orphaned or injured. I haven't eaten an animal that science has proven to show those attributes listed above in 43 or my 62 years. I have never littered, we recycle, refuse, reuse, rehome and all the other "re's" one can imagine. My favorite is to buy used from individuals. This act is as important as any consumption correction in my opinion except for one…refusing the use of plastic whenever possible.
If you are even slightly like minded, perhaps you will share this… we used to have deposits on glass here in America and some states still do. I propose that we do the same with plastic. This is the only way our world will see how beautiful it is without garbage everywhere, know we are protecting sea life for which people worldwide depend on and we will see our coral reefs regain some footing in order to return living space for sea life. Blessings to those who do their part and best wishes to those who just decided to try. The last thing I ask is if you like the idea of deposits for plastics, please help spread the word so perhaps a lawmaker where you live might learn of the idea and move forward. Imagine, a cleaner world, plastics being returned by those who use them and/or those who find them and need the money. There is so much more to be done but don't you think this is a great start.

In my self taught unprofessional opinion the destruction and the once mud but now dry dirt came from the results of a global flood and the people or beings that were here before our civilization started after everything was destroyed and ultimately reset built these massive and arguably impossible structures, that's my opinion but one thing I can say for positive is men with horse and buggy living in shacks spending every minute of every day trying to survive did not build these , why would they, how would they, it's not practical and it even sounds as ignorant as it would have looked or after our civilization started after the flood we became very civilized and advanced but destroyed ourselves possibly with war or maybe the book of revelation has already happened before and maybe it's a revolving cycle that happens every so many years, maybe that's how the bible predicts future events but I dnt subscribe to this myself but it is interesting to think about, maybe we are what was left behind after Armageddon and a passed nuclear war could explain the high rates of cancers today, idk but one things for sure if the higher upside and leaders, not leaders bc they dnt lead they rule and destroy, but if they know they not saying and I beleive they know alot more than we could ever imagine
