Your a blessing for Nola food review. Thank You kind Sir. This restaurant is too expensive. You show us how to save our hard earned cash. The veal parm looks killer. Yummy 😋
Went to a Greek/ Italian restaurant and was shocked to see they made the best burger
From what I can tell, Rocky's gumbo was better, full of shrimp, had part of crab in it as well as oysters.
At Franks about 15 years ago was enjoying a poboy when I heard this conversation there. A tourist asked the waitress if she was a New Orleans native and she said yes she was. Commenting that grandma was a stripper on bourbon street in 1918 and grandpa was in the audience and grandpa fell in love and the rest is history! I didnt involve myself in the conversation but I had a smile on my face the whole time I was finishing lunch. These are not typical conversations found in other cities but somehow seem appropriate to New Orleans lol.
Funny story about Frank's – one of my friends was down there a few weeks before me. Finding Central Grocery closed he went to Frank's for a muffaletta. He said the sandwich was great but the staff was rude and short with him. When I went down later and walked in someone asked what I wanted. I dang near yelled "Whole muffaletta to go" . They seemed to appreciate the fact that I knew exactly what I wanted and got right on it. Another lady rang me up and I paid cash. The first lady gave me the sandwich, I put it in my backpack and hit the door. It was a good muffaletta but I prefer the warm ones at Napoleon House. Thanks for posting!
