How to Spend a Day in Rome, Italy (food tour)

Welcome to our travel vlog in Rome, Italy! We are not Rick Steves, but we are going to take you off the beaten path to explore some of Rome’s hidden gems and give you one of the best street food tours the eternal city (Rome) has to offer.

Our first stop is the Testaccio food market, where we’ll be taking you on a food tour of some of the best local delicacies. From fresh pasta to traditional fried artichokes, we’ll be tasting our way through this vibrant market and discovering the flavors that make Rome’s food scene so unique.

After satisfying our taste buds, we’ll be visiting one of Rome’s most restricted monuments, the Knights of Malta Keyhole. From here, we’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the city that are rarely seen by tourists.

We’ll then take you to a local deli where we’ll be buying some of the finest meats and cheeses that Rome has to offer, before heading back to our Air BnB to create our own aperitivo.

The next morning, we’ll be starting our day with some delicious street food at Suppli, a local hotspot famous for its deep-fried risotto balls as well as its pizza by the slice. From here, we’ll be walking around the city like a local, discovering hidden alleyways and secret spots that only the locals know about.

Of course, no trip to Rome would be complete without more amazing food, so we’ll be stopping at some of our favorite spots for a taste of Rome’s culinary delights.

Finally, we’ll be ending our tour at the iconic Pantheon, a breathtaking monument that has been standing for thousands of years. In fact, it is the only Roman structure that has practically stayed intact throughout the centuries.
