  1. Florence is such a paradise! Such a beautiful place to spend vacation. Have you tried using a duffle bag for your travel? I recommend using the Bento Bag from Nomad Lane.   3. To climb the stairs in the Duomo's dome, you'll need to book your tickets in advance and then pick a specific date and time to go up. When I was there end of winter some years ago, it was so crowded, at various sections, you had to wait for people to come down to proceed upward. On the way down, do have a look at the innovative herringbone brick system used that enabled such a large dome to be constructed and which holds strong to this day – the genius of a guy called Brunelleschi.
