We had to put McDonald’s in Italy to the test. Can a country that’s so food-crazy really make the best fast food? Is it better than McDonald’s in the United States? First, there are a ton of menu items not available in the states- a parmesan cheese cube, cremalosa, McToast, tiramisu, macarons, and My Selection burgers. We tried these plus the USA favorites to see if Italian McDonald’s really is better than the rest!

  1. Avanti ragazzi di Buda,
    Avanti ragazzi di Pest,
    Studenti, braccianti, operai,
Il sole non sorge più a Est!
    Abbiamo vegliato le notti
Le notti dei cento e più mesi
    Per l'alba radiosa d'ottobre,
    Quell'alba dei ragazzi ungheresi.
    Ricordo tu avevi un moschetto
Su portalo in piazza, ti aspetto,
Nascosta tra i libri di scuola
    Anch'io porterò una pistola.
Sei giorni, sei notti di gloria
    Durò questa nostra vittoria
    Ma al settimo sono arrivati
I russi con i carri armati.
I carri ci schiaccian le ossa,
    Nessuno ci viene in aiuto.
    Sull'orlo della nostra fossa
    Il mondo è rimasto seduto.
Ragazza non dire a mia madre
    Che io morirò questa sera;
Ma dille che vado in montagna
    E che tornerò a primavera.
    Compagni il plotone già avanza
Già cadono il primo e il secondo
    Finita è la nostra speranza,
    Sepolto l'onore del mondo.
    Compagno riponi il fucile
    Torneranno a cantare le fonti
    Quel giorno serrate le file
    E noi torneremo dai monti.
    Avanti ragazzi di Buda,
    Avanti ragazzi di Pest,
    Studenti, braccianti, operai,
Il sole non sorge più a Est!

  2. A country's McDonald's being the best is debatable. I mean each McDonald's in the countries they're in have unique products whether it's the McFalafel in Egypt, McSpicy Paneer in India, Almighty Texan BBQ burger in New Zealand, or Bulgogi Burger in South Korea. For me personally, the Japanese version of McDonald's is the best but that's just me. I don't shame those who want to eat at McDonald's while on vacation. People are like "You're in another country, you shouldn't have McDonald's" and I'm like, "And?" McDonald's isn't in the same in other countries thanks to different menu items, if you're crunched on time it's a place to get a quick bite, they're everywhere in big cities, and it's familiar.

As for the Coke, McDonald's Coke is simply different. Same goes for the Sprite. Sprite tastes different because of the high syrup-to-carbonated water ratio, which results in a sweeter and stronger version of the drink. The Coke tastes different because Coke is delivered to McDonald's in stainless steel containers, thus keeping it taste fresher. This on top of pre-chilling the syrup, always maintaining a temp just above freezing to ensure the crisp, wider straws so that it hits all your taste buds, and water filtration methods are all reasons why the Coke is different

  3. Here's some McDonald's history for ya, comrades: Before they owned a restaurant, the McDonald brothers had a theater and a hot dog stand. In 1930, with whatever money they had scraped together, they purchased a 750-seat movie theater 20 miles outside Los Angeles in Glendora, calling it the Beacon Theatre (naming it after the famous theatre in NYC because they hoped for crowds). But this being the Great Depression, it did poorly. They noticed that kids seemed to always have enough money for food like burgers and soda. So with a $5,000 loan, the McDonald brothers started a hot dog stand in 1937 by an airfield in Monrovia, calling it The Airdome, and they targeted spectators who were watching the planes. This was a success, but they predicted that in the future, they'd need to appeal to cars. So they moved to San Bernardino, changed the name to McDonald's, and the rest is history.

Despite hot dogs being their heritage, Ray Kroc didn't even want to serve hot dogs even if there was demand for them. Why? Because to him, there was no way of knowing what was inside them.

  4. Приезжайте к нам в Россию! Вам понравится!! Санкт Петербург прекрасен во всем! У нас есть пышечная!! И прекрасные французские пирожные макарон даже в ТЦ!

  5. Youre not really comparing apples to apples. I was in the military in Italy for over 2 years and we used to have to drive almost 50km to the nearest McDonalds (late 90s). The McDonalds tastes exactly the same. Of course Italian McDonalds have country specific options we cant find in America but there are a LOT of countries that do. You can get beer in McDonalds in Germany! lol

  6. Now I have to question if you’re really American if you’ve never had a Big Mac. What the heck did you grow up overseas?

  7. Summer 2022, we had mc.donalds in Italy, Germany, Hungary & Romania…… Hungary was sooooo incredibly good that my 4kids and I wished we could go back and have it again….. everything about it seemed sooooo incredibly fresh and just superb! And we r by no means a mc.d’s fan…. It just became a thing to try it in every country. And in romania & italy, we had it a few times during our 3 mo in europe.

  8. Do you not get your own drink there? I put minimal ice because the pop is already cold.

  9. Jessi here in Italy the Mc Donalds burgers taste the same as in the US because garbage tastes the same everywhere

  10. The Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate marshmallows before you put them in the milk……OH MY GOD!…How did you remember that? Too funny!

  11. River North McDonald's in Chicago best I've been to..No such thing as a Italian McDonald's it's McDonald's in Italy lol

  12. Those burgers are bigger than in Canada. I miss the pizza mcds once had. I'd love these options in Canada as I take my autistic son there every week.

  13. They have donuts, muffins, cookies, pies in Canada. We make our own pop so I leave the ice out & mix all the pops making a slush like in the 70s. Quarter pounder is the best

  14. Ciao! Is the Opel car Alessio was driving a Rental or a Family Loan? Where is the Fiat?!! 🚙🙂😊😉

  15. Sorry the best are the French ones. We reinvented Macdonald. Flavours, Green sign, luxury burgers. Even the CEO was French !

  16. I've had my best Bic Mac ever in Italy. 5 times better than anywhere else. The fries also. And the red Peroni. Perfect combo.
