✅Italian Tuna (Recipes) :
6.7 oz Tuna Filets (use high quality) – drain
2 Tbsp. Non-pareil capers – drained
2 Tbsp. Chopped roasted peppers – Chopped
2 celery stalks (2 oz.) -chopped
2 Tbsp. red onion (about ½ oz)- chopped
8 Calamata Olives- Cut in quarters
½ tsp. Salt
½ tsp. Black Pepper
1 tsp. Oregano
¼ cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
3 lemons juiced – About a ½ cup
Romaine Lettuce and Toasted Bread Of Your Choice- Optional
Put the tuna in a bowl and mash into tiny pieces with a fork. Next add the capers, roasted peppers, celery, red onion, and olives. Season with salt, pepper and oregano. Mix the olive oil and lemon juice and pour over the tuna salad. Combine well. Chill and serve. I like to toast crusty bread, top with romaine lettuce and the tuna salad. You can store this in an airtight container for 2 to 3 days!
