My Father once ate the famous packaged pasta with neon "cheese" powder and 🤮 for about 12 hours afterwards. I think he had it when my Son went to lunch at their place; his school was across the street from my parents and I believe my Mom decided to make it for him. Grandpa had to try it much to his regret.
I worked with an Italian girl in Toronto who would bring the most amazing lunches from home that her Mother prepared. My brother-in-law and I would devour them and Grace would buy a hot dog from the vendor outside of our office building. We finally wrote a note to her Mother, thanking her for the wonderful food we were eating, instead of her daughter. Grace's Mom was so cool that she made sure there was enough food to feed an army practically. The green tomato sandwiches on homemade bread and some type of vinaigrette(?) on top were our favourite summertime lunches. Grace Cecchini, if you're watching this, I miss you!
This literally made me cry 😢 as I thought about my kids, when they were younger, and we used to spend time together in the kitchen 💔 Now they're all grown up and Mommy (that's me!) is so lonely.
