It was a sunny day when my friends and I decided to explore the abandoned mansion that we had heard so much about. The mansion had been built in the 17th century and had belonged to a wealthy family from Portugal. We had heard stories about how the family had so much wealth that they never had to go to work.
As we approached the mansion, we were struck by its grandeur. The architecture had been preserved for the ages, and we couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe as we stepped inside. The mansion had four bedrooms and two bathrooms, and the highlight of the tour was the ceiling in one of the rooms, which looked like it was straight out of a Harry Potter movie.
We learned that the mansion had been recently bought in 2020 by someone who had plans to turn it into a bed and breakfast with a salon. Unfortunately, the dream was short-lived as licensing issues forced the owner to cancel their plans. Now, the mansion was used as an art exhibit, and it had garnered attention due to its beauty.
As we explored the mansion, we couldn’t help but feel a sense of sadness that such a beautiful place had been left abandoned. We wondered about the family who had once lived there and what had led to their departure.
After we had explored the mansion, we decided to go and see an abandoned airplane that had been converted into a restaurant in 2000. The owner had a dream of creating a unique attraction where people could come and enjoy the experience of dining inside an airplane.
However, the town’s residents didn’t share the same enthusiasm, and legal battles ensued. In 2014, the case was won by those who believed that the airplane was an obstruction, and the owner had to shut down his restaurant.
As we left the airplane behind and made our way back home, we reflected on our day’s events. We were grateful for the opportunity to explore these abandoned locations and learn about their unique histories. However, we also felt a sense of sadness that the dreams of the mansion’s recent owner and the airplane-turned-restaurant owner had not been realized. We hoped that one day, someone would be able to bring these unique places back to life and share their beauty with the world.

  1. Make sure to like and share the video 🙂 where's everyone watching from? Let me know down in the comments for a reply back!

  2. "Doesn't feel like a restaurant or a museum, but it Feels like the real thing" ??? What would that be??? Dude WHAT ARE YOU SAYING? WHAT ARE YOU COMMUNICATING TO YOUR AUDIENCE????? 😔😓👎👎👎👎👎

  3. So they fought to close the airplane restaurant due to it being unsightly however…the abandoned planes and graffiti looks much better…

  4. Ave Maria is not a family name. That was a picture of the Virgin Mary. Ave Maria is Latin for hail Mary

  5. I pretty sure that the second bedroom with the stunning ceiling is the bedroom I could think of if I dream of the bedroom I want to have.

  6. FYI…. Ave Maria was not the family‘s last name lol …it’s a religious tapestry and it means “Hail Mary” otherwise thanks for sharing these beautiful forgotten homes.

  7. Did you really say AAAVE Maria? you and Josh both could save yourself a lot of embarrassment and looking like you're uneducated by actually researching the stuff before you go so you don't say things like this. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

  8. The Latin phrase Ave Maria means "Hail, Mary" and the definition of 'Ave Maria' using “ Hail, Mary,” which are the first words of the Latin version of a prayer to the Virgin Mary used in the Roman Catholic Church.

  9. That painted ceiling I’d magnificent! It looks like a blanket thrown up in the air and now it’s coming down to cover you.

  10. So the people in the city complained the plains were basically an eyesore and all they did was basically cause the man to abandon it nothing like flipping them off in the end they are stuck with it now.

  11. The tapestry (TAP-estry) in the foyer doesn't have the family name on it.

"Ave Maria" (pronounced AV-ay Maria) means Hail Mary. Thr people who lived here must've been Catholic.

The "tombstone" were probably brought into the house from a family cemetery some place in the property. I doubt seriously that they are buried inside the house.

  12. Absolutely gorgeous like something out of a movie definitely a treasure thanks for the video I would want so many pictures of this place….. magical is the perfect word to describe this place 👍❤

  13. Its so sad people thinking they have the right to go in and tare stuff up that dont belong to them I wish these people could get prosecuted.

  14. That livingroom ceiling painted like gold fringed curtains was exquisite. Hope the current owner is able to sell it to someone that will show it some love. This was a great explore. Would love to see your original "plane restaurant" video. 👍❤️

  15. 29:34 It's a cenotaph, (not a grave stone) it describes moving the remains of a deceased person who died 75 years prior to being brought back to rest in her father's homeland. It says the following; Luigia Vineis Mares "wise and virtuous woman, an affectionate wife and mother, after a long absence in the grave of 75 years, she came to rest here in her homeland to her father, Doctor Mares Guisseppe, who also consumed a life of 77 years in relief, for the poor and for suffering humanity, I leave everyone mourned And longing for the sorrowful sons and daughters they pray peace and eternal rest. 1874"
