I think the Irish of all people should feel free to make that warning considering how much alcohol issues the population has had in history.

It's almost like the EU and British fishmongers who had to pay thousands of pounds to change the labels on fish products being sold in the EU and UK to warn people it 'contains fish'.
I am surprised the Irish are not blaming Britain for cancer, they blame us for everything else.

The WHO stated that Ireland has the second-highest rate of binge drinking in the world. I highly doubt slapping a lie on a label is going to change anything.

I lost my Mother she was only 50. She would some days drink two bottles of wine, Alcohol should be banned like all other drugs, It ruins families and future generations and is crazy that is legal and people can just buy copious amount in the shops

The government are right about the links but I suspect there are worse culprits than wine. Maybe add the warnings to EVERYTHING from places like Burger King, McDonalds and KFC, far more likely to cause cancer than wine is. More damaging over all come to that, and given in current times many can't afford to drink anyway I don't think it's going to harm the wind industry much. If anything it'll increase sales of Prosecco not decrease them.

If Ireland slaps the same label on their own alcohol, then it is being applied equally. And the label clearly show it can damage the liver and is linked to various types of cancer. Which, by the way, is true.

Warnings should be across the board on any consumable detrimental to our health and alcohol is responsible for many harmful effects/events not just for the person consuming it. There should be more 'control' of these products.
